Hampton Inn Marshall

I purposely stay here because it is pet friendly, clean and in general clean. I don’t like to stay in Kalamazoo even though that is where the UKC Premier Nationals are held. I attend this every year.

on past stays, the staff was friendly and inviting. the tall blond was curt and uninviting upon check in or any other contact. Also, the day after, there was an adult male that made me very uncomfortable with his questions, these two employees made me feel like I had made a wrong choice to return to this hotel that I was very comfortable with.

The staff was great and very friendly. Breakfast was convenient and very good. We were out sightseeing quite a bit, so we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, but everyone, from the front desk to housekeeping was helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back.

There wasn't anything I could comment on as a negative. The hotel had everything we needed to be a great start and end to the day. It is conveniently located and has all the basic amenities a vacation traveler needs.

The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable.

When we checked in our bill was more than had been quoted. Unpleasant new young lady was very rude and had no answers to as why it as more. Had to call Booking to complain about this and even though I was on hold for approximately 30min. they were able to speak to the manager and get it cleared up. So the manager at the property was nice and resolved the mistake.

Friendly front desk people, reasonably good breakfast choices (pretty standard) and clean facilities

When I chose the free wifi, I wasn't able to get wifi on both my laptop and cell phone and didn't have an obvious way to go back and change my answer to ensure safe and reliable wifi to engage work. I was only there one night so I didn't bother to go down and speak to the front desk about trouble shooting that problem, but since you asked. All wifi should be available on multiple devices for free at the price I paid for the room.

The room was comfortable and clean. The climate control was exceptional and the breakfast was very good.

The property would not except our reservation. We produced the reservation confirmation from booking. com and a receipt from PayPal with the correct amount for the room. The desk clerk was wanting to charge us again to stay. I had to call booking. com. to finally get checked into a room. It was over an hour to get a key to a room with no apology. The desk attendant called his supervisor at home and still there was no resolution. The booking.com employee finally was able to convince the front desk that the reservation was in order. We stopped at this location to watch the World Series game from the beginning and missed 3 innings before we were allowed in a room. Terrible experience to say the least.

The Breakfast was excellent. Very well done. Everything was clean and fully stocked. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Enjoyed the Oatmeal with Raisins, Craisins and Brown Sugar.

Could use a second elevator. Wasn't much of an issue when checking in but in the morning when a lot of people were going up and down from multiple floors to the Breakfast and or Checkout it was backed up and slow.

I really liked that there was oatmeal offered for breakfast as a healthier choice to other options. I enjoyed the ease of check in and check out as well as the convenience of access to where I was travelling to the next day.

I didn't like that the wifi wasn't actually free and in order to get it you have to sign up.

I always love Hampton inns because the beds & pillows are so comfortable. this bed was so hard and the pillows very lumpy. plus I upgraded to a king suite and that couch is so so low and the plastic cushions sink down into the mattress below? we didn’t need it as a bed. I thought I’d upgraded to 2 queens. the new carpet - the glue or something also created an unpleasant odor in the room.

My family and I loved our stay. I personally loved the evening clerk, Mary. She was so kind and helpful! The breakfast attendant was wonderful as well! We were able to check-in, snooze and check out with no problems what's so ever! Also, their check out time was 12 PM! We absolutely loved that we could sleep in. :)

The carpets through out the hallways were a bit dirty, the elevator should be cleaned through out the day as it's the only one and used frequently.

Christie in the breakfast area was so helpful and nice. She keeps the area clean and stocked. Mr Ramos was very professional and helped us get a room on the level for handicapped person. Awesome stay !

I did not see an ice station close to our room but that's the only thing
