The house was full of beautiful antique furniture and history. (Thomas Edison even did the wiring!) The actual breakfast was good and table service, silverware were very nice. The room was very clean and the bed (and soft sheets!) was comfortable! Great location to walk to restaurants, shops, movie theater too. Homemade chocolate chip cookies were also available under a domed plate on the dining table for guest snacking at any time!

Possibly a larger breakfast portion..we were given half a small waffle with a couple of blueberries and a cut strawberry and two sausage links..plus OJ, coffee, tea. Definitely not complaining (as Americans are so used to over-sized portions) as it tasted good !

Our hosts Jason and Yuning are so very gracious and personable, so very friendly. Their knowledge of this beautiful home is extensive, and Yuning tells the story in the formal dining room complete with pictures of the original residents on the wall. Yuning's breakfasts are exquisitely prepared and presented; you would have no trouble seeing the same at a 5 star restaurant. The rooms and bedrooms are all maintained beautifully! We were fortunate to have been given the Balcony Bedroom for our stay, named for the small private balcony attached to it; we took full advantage of this, enjoying the quiet atmosphere in the mornings before breakfast and the evenings after our wanderings. We absolutely plan on returning to visit this beautiful home and great couple again! Thank you again! Sincerely, Patty and Bill (Moose) Tuthill

We enjoyed our entire stay!

we appreciated the outstanding hospitality and delicious hot breakfasts. The rich history of the house had been well preserved, and the innkeeper was able to share the stories of its origins.

While these are minor concerns, there was a small opportunity for repairs, though these may be constrained by the US Department of Interior due to the house being registered historically.

This property was very clean, well organized, and had lots of character. The owner, Jason, was the sweetest man ever. He greeted us immediately, helped us with getting settled in and checked in with us often. The location is awesome! The small town of Bellaire is just across the river, putting the house within walking distance. Overall, I would 100% recommend this place and I would stay here again.

The front door has a door bell on it and it’s decently loud. If you’re coming in later at night, it feels like it rings throughout the house. I completely understand it’s a safety measure, but it was just a tiny inconvenience.

The facility was beautiful/we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was amazing and we met 3 other couples that ironically lived in our area downstate. The gal that made breakfast was very pleasant & shared the history of the home. The antiques throughout, are AMAZING!

Had the balcony room and enjoyed coffee out on the balcony in a.m. which needs repair in the near future😔

Our hosts went above and beyond to make us comfortable. A special gluten free breakfast was made every morning just for me and it was magnificent. It was such a wonderful place to spend our 30th anniversary, unplugging from the modern world and resting in the comfort of days gone by. Quiet and cozy room to unwind and relax. Walking distance to the adorable downtown and scenic park. Lovely place and hosts.

Breakfast was excellent - raisin bread was the best. Decor was wonderful. Bed was very comfortable. Wonderful area within walking distance of great places to eat, drink and be merry!

There needs to be ice available for drinks when you arrive. It's tough to have a bourbon or martini on the veranda with no "rocks" available.

A Grand Hotel indeed! We had a lovely King room that was very large by B&B standards. Excellent bed, shower, TV, etc. Absolutely wonderful hosts were Jason and his wife. The breakfasts, oh the breakfasts!! The breakfasts were simply the best anywhere we have ever stayed and we have visited over 45 countries. Super B&B in a lovely small town, Belaire, MI.
