It has everything you needed. And the staff was always asking if you needed anything else for your room. They were very attentive and courteous. Will do that again as soon as I go up north. 
It was close to everything and the five In lakes including torch lake. Only 15 min away.

This is a much older unattractive low budget motel and apparently has several full-time residents. Was booked only because nearby Traverse City was nearly sold out. The rate was high for such an outdated site, but low in comparison to Traverse City. The bed was clean and comfortable as was the room itself but everything about it was outmoded. The carpet definitely needs replaced as do the room doors which were flimsy and hollow Lauan-style doors. Theres only so much that can be done with such an aging building. Renovations to fully modernize the motel wouldn’t be cost-effective since it’s unlikely that this out of the way spot could ever recoup the money spent on them. The night was spent uneventfully and no one bothered us or our vehicles.

I came to this motel for a ski trip great location for tree tops, shanty creek and boyne mountain. all within 45 minutes. the rooms were a good size for all of our gear
the floors were not dirty but you can tell they haven’t been deep cleaned In a couple of years. they are remodeling so that may change the parking lot was very icy.

Bed and linens were clean, fridge and microwave both worked. Shower had good hot water. Definitely not premium accommodation but if you're just looking for somewhere to shower and sleep, this will do.
My only complaints were that the carpet was dirty and only two full size towels in the bathroom. People in the next room over were very noisy but thats no fault of the motel.

Room was clean and had Wi-fi. Person in office was happy to make fresh coffee for us when we came in.
Many people live there permanently—stairs only to the second level. If you have someone that isn't very mobile, would be a challenge. Could smell residents smoking weed even in our room. Hotel is dated, but like I mentioned, rooms were clean and I didn't see any critters in them.
