Hampton Inn by Hilton Detroit Dearborn, MI

This is my favorite place to stay when I visit "downstate" -- Dearborn puts you central to all sorts of attractions and restaurants. It's easy to just drive straight into downtown Detroit, avoiding the freeways and it's easy to get to several incredible metroparks and nature areas within 35-45 minutes. The hotel itself feels like a home away from home. Always comfortable, always quiet, and always clean. The staff is more than helpful and always friendly.

I don't mind it, but some might not enjoy the traffic noise since the hotel is right on Michigan Avenue. Bring a white noise machine, or request a room on the parking lot side if you think it'll be bothersome. I deal with the same noise in rural northern Michigan, so it wasn't a big deal to me.

This is one of the best and most convenient hotels I've ever stayed in. Right on Michigan Ave you have walking access to great things in Dearborn, but it also makes it easy to drive into downtown Detroit without having to deal with the freeways. The staff is always more than friendly and make check in and out a breeze.

I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom floor. I washed my face and got some water on the floor and when I went to dry it with a towel, the towel was extremely dirty afterwards. Could've just been that someone thought they'd mopped but hadn't. We're all human.

Location...location. Close to restaurants, Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village. Excellent breakfast. Cudo to Rhonda for doing the breakfast each morning.

Being charged $4.99 a day for parking. Do not remember seeing this anywhere when we booked reservation. When questioned said they always charged was probably not told about it last time we stayed.

Only two things that I wish were different! 1. The shower bar is on the opposite side of wall to get in, which really doesn't help much. 2. The charging ports for cell phones and outlets themselves were very loose, taking forever to charge things

The front desk staff was not the friendliest. I had a question on the rate that I called down about and they basically said to ask the morning staff and was trying to put it off on the next employee. The parking was also in a lot across from the hotel which made it feel slightly less secure. There should be a better warning that parking fee is not included in your stay.

convenience of location to eateries and cafes I genuinely enjoyed it and didn’t understand why it was a 3 star and not a 4 star. I loved it!

They should have a safe available in each room to hold valuables such as passports, laptops while we leave our rooms which it didn’t have.

The gentleman at checkin really made my wife and I feel welcomed. He explained that our room wasn't really but offered us some cookies and pointed us in the direction of the coffee. That was great. Sometimes the little things means the most.

The driveway entrance. It's very tight and I curbed my rim in the first driveway.

Breakfast for the family offering great hours in case you’d like to sleep in! Located around stores and food places, also my kids loved the pool and the gym was a plus !

The heating in the room not sure if it was just my room but I turned heat on high and it still was cold.

The breakfast was great. Room was clean. Staff is friendly. Location is great.

The nightstand outlet was broken in my room. The bathroom door is a sliding barn style and doesn't technically close over all the way. Had noisy neighbors but as soon as i called the front desk they took care of it and the neighbors were quite for the rest of their stay.
