Staybridge Suites - Southgate - Detroit Area, an IHG Hotel

The hotel looked exactly like the pictures. The rooms were nicer than I expected them to be. The rooms were spacious and clean. I am very particular about hotel cleanliness and always bring my own cleaning products. However, this is the first hotel I didn't have to do additional cleaning in because it was already clean to my high standards. My husband was impressed with the updated technology and we both loved the bathroom setup. We could get dressed and use the bathroom space without getting into each other's way which was great! The hotel is right off the highway which was incredibly convenient!!! The staff was incredibly polite, patient, friendly, professional and went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent stay. I highly recommend this hotel 10/10!!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

Loved that it was centrally located. The room was large and very good! The beds were very good, pillows maybe a little soft for my taste, but my daughter loved them. Large T.V. and couch with ottoman were nice feature. We faced the courtyard and saw the fire pit feature, asked the staff to light it for us and they did. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good and the attendant made sure everything was filled when running low. We loved the full kitchen and large bathroom areas! This will be our go to hotel choice now when traveling! Even though it is located next to a busy interstate, inside you didn't even notice the noise of traffic.

I love how spacious my room was and the friendly staff made me comfortable especially traveling to Detroit for the first time. Would definitely come back.

The street view on Google maps just showed an empty field. So that was confusing before I decided to book a room but other than that no complaints.

The breakfast was nice with biscuits and gravy, waffles, omelets and pastries. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The pool was not to cold and it's nice that they had a hot tub. Very clean environment

Wish they had meat options for breakfast.

The house keepers did great. Other than the stuff left on a shelf in the room everything was very clean. The breakfast wasn't bad but it was just cold quick things, no hot items. But I did love the location.

The construction materials left on the shelf. I probably noticed more that the average person due to my occupation, but the construction quality wasn't very great. I noticed several items that could have just been finished a little better. And if there was more of a selection for breakfast.

Loved the space in room, all the additional soap and towels was very convenient, and the breakfast choices were great and fresh, the staff were welcoming and friendly.

Breakfast couldn't keep stocked for everyone, the bedding provided for the pullout bed was very uncomfortable, did not have laundry supplies in stock.

You guys were amazing in accommodating us very last minute after a horrible experience at the air bnb that morning, traveling for more than 13 hours and running on no sleep. We are super thankful for you guys! Room 423 was amazing!

Location seems remote and quiet (other than the freeway).

Lost power on the last day of my stay but so did other Hotels nearby. Was offered to stay until power came back on and have my luggage carried down for me. Chose to not do either. Need better pillows. Firm pillows weren't much different than the soft. Thermostat would blow cool air when I tried to turn the heat on. Maybe the Hotel hasn't turned it on yet.

Huge variety for breakfast and delicious! Very comfortable beds, love the separate rooms in the suites, and many amenities included. Love the additional spaces for guests (outdoor patio, den room). Simple check in/check out.

Staff was very nice. Anytime we needed something or had a question, they were helpful.
