Loved the rooms and how they were designed in antiques. Comfy bed! Fantastic breakfast each morning. Good location in terms of walking distance to stores and beach. Lovely garden out back. Plenty of parking available. Each room has a book in it telling you about the room and what it was in the original home. That was a nice touch.

We booked 3 rooms. (3 couples). The other 2 rooms booked both couples complained about their bathrooms and the showers. One had very little water pressure, and both complained that it was a choice between scalding hot or freezing cold and sometimes it would just change on a whim. The street corner the house sits on is VERY busy with lots of loud trucks going by constantly. Windows were single pane glass and street noise was very loud in the room and we were on 2nd floor.

Amazing room service! Excellent location. I love historical homes with a beautiful garden area to sit. Ludington is one of a kind destination. I enjoyed my stay. I liked being on the main floor and the 24 hr dining room with snacks and coffee available.

I prefer central air-conditioning over window units which tend to be noisy. However, I was grateful that there was air-conditioning in my room and throughout this large historical home. The cost was high given the time of year, but service was exceptional!

1. Outstanding, fresh, creative, generous breakfast!! 2. Staff outstanding - friendly, attentive, eager to please. 3. Lovely common area, sitting areas, and garden space. 4. Convenient location.. walkable to town. 5. Great value.

1. Shower temperature was very difficult to regulate. 2. Shower tile area and rugs were very slippery - a safety issue. 3. Exterior entrance steps/door should be updated/dressed up. They were worn and a bit shabby. 4. Bed was too soft and a bit lumpy.

The room was large, clean and lovely. The bed was comfortable. We heard NO sound from other rooms. The staff were efficient, friendly and accomodating. The food WAS EXCELLENT. I liked the 2nd sink in the large bedroom since the bathroom was small. I liked the outdoor sitting areas. The house is beautiful. Well maintained and kept.

It took a looong time to get hot water, but I'm not complaining. We just turned it on for a while before getting into the shower. The bathroom was small but had nice tile and porcelain fixtures. Larger people might not like the size of that bathroom but we were fine. The house outside needs painting soon - but all the rooms are freshly painted (that I could see). The grounds need attention. The flower beds are full of lovely perennials that are crowded by weeds.

The breakfast was outstanding. Maybe the best reason for staying at this place. The room was comfortable and the bed good. Shower was good. Furniture was beautiful antique but chairs uncomfortable.

We were in rm 2 which was in the front of the building bordering the Main Street in town. The noise from loud cars and trucks was awful from 6am until 10am. The rest of the day it was obnoxious. This is not the fault of the proprietors. Maybe a room in the rear of the building would be more quiet.

Breakfast was awesome!! Best breakfast of our week long trip! Loved the atmosphere and the staff were VERY friendly! They also had a very nice outside garden area where you can build a fire if you want.

I was suffering from a severe back ache at the time and the bathroom (converted closet I believe} was very small and tough to navigate. Maybe a grab handle would have helped.

Loved the size of the Loft room. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Location was excellent to family and other sites. Sleeping under the eaves was like a tent so is kind of fun but beware of low roof. Interesting shower arrangement but caused some issues.

Needed to take care walking around the room as there are many angled roof lines. Bathroom shower is a wet bath so that it is difficult to change in privacy as the wet floor and toilet make it hard to keep your clothes dry when dressing. Stubbed toe on bathroom threshold in the dark. Could use some screens to add privacy and

The entire feeling was best summed up with "thoughtful". The room we had was themed "Scandinavian" and was very cozy. The decor was like an antique shop. The common area/dining area was cute. Someone was playing the piano after breakfast, another guest I think. The provided breakfast was Great. More than enough food for my wife and I. And they delivered it right to the room. My only "gripe" is I wish the checkout time was a little later. 11a came and we didn't want to leave 🙂

The location -- walking distance to downtown and city beach; 7-mile bike ride to beautiful Ludington State Park (bikeable neighborhood, too); the breakfast was outstanding; the cleanliness of the facility was exceptional; while we didn't use the working fireplace in the room, it is a nice amenity. Enjoyed talking with other guests over breakfast. The staff was very friendly and the innkeeper responded to my one concern immediately.

Location was close to everything. We could not stay for breakfast. They went out of their way to move us to an accessible room. Altogether a very pleasant stay.

Needed better advance information. We were not alerted to the 28 stairs to our original room assignment, which were impossible for both of us to manage, so we would have had to reserve elsewhere. This was inconvenient for the Inn as well. Also, we were not advised in advance of the pet fee. though it was a reasonable $25.00.
