Viking Arms Inn - Ludington

Nice one level motel with outdoor pool and jacuzzi and situated so it’s private from the road. The executive room was big, 2 vanities, small shower, jacuzzi and fireplace. The heated pool and spa was big and nice with plenty lounge chairs on the deck. Grounds were clean, beautiful shade tree with large area under it w/chairs for gathering. Designated parking for each room was helpful. We really appreciated the small property with a pool in a good location.

Pool hours could have been longer. 11am - 10pm. after long day out it’s a perk to be able to swim in pool a little later. the HotTub isn’t really a Hot-tub, its kept warm till 5pm then supposed to go to 98 but the owners don’t increase the heat and everyone in the pool (repeat customers) said they won’t unless requested but it doesn’t get to 98. personally we still enjoyed it but my husband prefers a hotter experience. These new owners are on 3rd summer and so far so good, but we could see the building is going to need some repairs and paint this year- hopefully they will get it done to keep it nice.

We absolutely loved the size of the room and the very cozy fireplace. We had it on instead of the wall heater and it was just so warm and felt great. The bed was very comfortable, nice hardwood flooring. The shower could be improved. Small with curtain and older shower head. Even a new shower head would improve the experience greatly. Other than that, we would hands down stay again. We came for the New Year's Eve ball drop and it was so nice to be within 15-20 minute walk to downtown from the hotel.

Loved the size of the room - had whirpool, nice warm, cozy fireplace that kept us so warm, hardwood floors in main area, great location to activities downtown area. Bed was very comfortable also.

There was no breakfast. I think it was advertised that there would be a continental breakfast. Also, when I got up my room, I turned on the heater and tv. The heater was marking an awful racket and the tv wouldn’t turn on. Went to the office to share that with them. They almost beat me back to my room. Tried to fix it and couldn’t. Gave me another room. BERY impressive! Also changed out towels in the midst of my 2 night stay.

Simple furnishings, very clean, everything worked. It was nice to have a room away from street noise. Staff was courteous & pleasant. The price was good & kept us well within our travel budget.

Parking only provided one space per room. However, there was an overflow parking area nearby. Bathroom is quite small, but clean & has good water pressure.

On bookings, I could tell it was an older mom and pop motel, and knowing most of these motels have shower units I took it, I am disabled and cannot get into a bathtub. So perfect! That being said, it was the cleanest renovated motel I have been in!! I could even turn around in the bathroom with my walker!! We were very pleased! So Thank you for keeping us comfortable😁 We really appreciate it!!!

I love the location of the Viking. However, my stay this time around was not desirable. The shower was to small to enjoy and confining. The bed was not a Queen size, more like a full size bed. Even though we booked at the last minute, we still expected the same from our previous stay. We will return for Ludington hospitality, the food and The Viking. Thank you.

It is really clean, updated, has refrigerator, hair dryer, coffee maker and in good location, has a great pool and jacuzzi. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I really like it is ranch and you have your own parking spot right outside your room. Great job everyone at Viking Arms!

I would have preferred a microwave in the room but there was one available in the breakfast area/ common area.

Even though the property is old, the room was well maintained and updated nicely. They do a good cleaning and preparing the room for guests. It's family owned and they are pretty friendly.

I liked that I could see my car. Also the room was bigger than I expected.

Since it was on the main drag, there was a lot of traffic, especially truck traffic, passing by. Also the room was missing face towels, which I didn't realize until showering the next morning.

This is an exceptional facility with large rooms, comfortable beds, table and WiFi. The location was very convenient to the Badger Carferry. The Grab 'n Go breakfast met my needs for my travel schedule.

Nothing comes to mind. This is a great facility that I stayed at twice while going out and returning from my east coast trip.
