Manistee Hotel

The check-in process went smoothly, and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was hot, and when my husband and I went down, we were told more eggs were being made fresh for us and some of the other patrons that had arrived. Coffee was fantastic! The room was clean and neat, and the tv channel selection varied. It had snowed earlier before we arrived, but the parking lot was well maintained and easy to find parking. My husband and I definitely want to come back to Manistee and when we do, we'll be staying at the Manistee hotel.

Our friends stayed at another hotel down the street, and they had more complaints about their stay than we did. Which is easy to say because my husband and I have none!

I love the breakfast in the morning. Everything was very clean in the room as well as the rest of the building.

Wish there was an outside patio. Notice an old tennis court area but it was locked off. Getting extra towels for pool or shower seems to be a struggle for night staff. Also wish the room had a small chest of drawers in the family room with the king size bed as well as a t.v. in it. No coffee pot in room. Wifi doesn't reach all of the rooms. We had no signal the entire stay unless we were closer to pool area and lobby.

The breakfast was hearty and made fresh. There was a lovely lady who greeted all travelers with a smile every morning. Fresh eggs, sausage and coffee with no questions asked. Plenty of beverage choices.

There was a peculiar smell in our hall, but it’s probably just from the building being a bit older. The lake view with the docked ships was pretty neat!

Convenient location to all attractions.

Person or persons did not show up to make the stuff for the breakfast so there was no breakfast served today. I feel they should have a backup plan to take care of this problem in the future or compensate the people who stayed the night before if they don’t get the breakfast.

This updated hotel on the main thoroughfare of US 31 across from Manistee lake is a best kept secret, great value and location. Room is very clean and mattress was very comfortable closed cell foam, all linen perfect. We did not sample the breakfast so can't comment.Showers were hot, when we needed extra towels they were quick to respond and pleasant. Close to the Lake, piers and riverwalk.

The $100 damage deposit was an unexpected cost, but after some research, found that it is standard practice. Smoking in the rooms by some have made this necessary. Deposit is refunded within 7 days. Our room did not have much of a view but we stayed to refresh and recharge and that's what we received.

The check in was very quick and the girl was very helpful with suggestions for dinner. My room was very clean and comfortable and much larger than most hotel rooms. The view of the lake from my room was a nice surprise. The breakfast was very good.

The bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a nice light blanket instead of one of those silly duvets that so many hotels have adopted. (They would be fine if you were sleeping outdoors in the Arctic.) The room was large and well laid out.

There is a limited breakfast service, but it is not available until after 8:00, which makes it useless to travelers who are passing through. The room that I was in (#304) smelled strongly of tobacco smoke, though it was marked as non-smoking.

I liked how friendly all the staff was and they had a cute dinning hall for breakfast, and you can stream your show on the tv but with your own hdmi port thing

I lost a saw under the bed it didn’t look like it was vacuumed and when I went to the bath there was peice of hair on the wall

Manistee Hotel is our go to hotel when we travel to Manistee which is about 2-3 times a year. Prices are always great. Clean rooms, friendly staff, Safe Location.

I loved that it was quiet and not overly busy

the drive ways in and out have horrible blind spots that make it dangerous and hard to safely pull on to the main road.
