Relax Inn - Saginaw

We stayed in a King room in Relax Inn for about 5 days. I felt at home and felt very welcomed by the staff. This place is pet friendly, very calm and quiet during all hours of the day, and the views from the sky are incredible during morning and dusk. The staff are amazing and very accommodating. We had our light fixture go out during a storm and the staff had it fixed for us by the afternoon. We did not leave our dogs in the room and we returned to clean made beds.

Only thing I didn’t like was the wifi not working. Since we travel for work, we need access to high speed internet. We made due by getting a hotspot from a local Verizon, but if wifi worked as expected we would’ve had an incredible all around experience.

When making the reservation, we made a request for a quiet room and explained we would be arriving late. We received a very quick "no problem" in response. The motel was away from town, but easy to find. The bed linens were clean and fresh. The AC (we arrived on a hot, summer night) worked great. The room came with a small fridge and microwave and coffee maker. We only used the fridge which kept our bottled water very cold.

We're seniors with some joint issues. The step into the room was high and also, the threshold was presented a tripping hazard. A grab bar near the door would have been handy. The shower stall also had a high step and no grab bars. The toilet was not comfort height and again, had no grab bar. The bathroom door could not close and lock -- too much paint, maybe -- which was not an issue for us, but some people might find it a problem. We didn't ask for a handicap accessible room -- not sure this facility had one.

The room was a good size and very clean and nicely decorated including the carpet. The king bed was very comfortable. The room had a nice table and 2 chairs plus an office chair and desk. The small fridge worked well. Also a great TV with lots of channels. A coffee pot was also included. The bathroom was very clean and bright with soft towels. The shower worked very well. The location is slightly out of the way but restaurants and McDonalds are about 10 minutes away. We would certainly stay there again.

The internet could have been a little stronger.

Country setting. It was close get to M-46 where I needed to go get across the river in Saginaw to my benefit concert at The Vault. The next day I went south to The Outlets at Birch Run, probably just over 10 miles away.

The thresholds are a bit too high to get in and out of the hotel room easily. But they may have had a block that was taken away to clear snow away easier. I'm also aware that the area was probably flooded many times in the spring from the rivers in the area.

Rooms were very clean and updated, and everything worked perfectly. While the location is somewhat rural and isn't super close to any of the local attractions, it wasn't too far.

The bathroom sinks were very small. I travel for work nearly every week and have stayed in hundreds of hotels across the country and haven't experienced such a small bathroom sink. I shower before bed and wash my hair in the sink the next morning, but the size of the sink made that very difficult.

VERY clean, especially at the price point, mini fridge and microwave in the room and reliable WiFi. Gentleman in the office was very nice, and quick to grab some extra towels for my partner and I. It’s off of the main roads so very quiet too. It’s a small simple room, nice tiled shower, good desk with a comfortable office chair in the room, I wasn’t traveling for work this time but if I ever need to stay in the area for business I wouldn’t hesitate for it, I didn’t need to print so I can’t comment on that.

I don’t really have any complaints. Value for money is there, it’s a nice quiet place, coffee in the room if you want that, close enough to town for running to the store, etc.

This is a very clean place! the staff is very polite and helpful. The price is perfect!The location is so-so, there are no restaurants and food markets nearby. I recommend anyone who doesn't have enough money to pay more than $80 per pet night!

I was traveling by myself to Frankenmuth to enjoy my birthday. The staff were always very friendly on the telephone as well as in person. They calmed my nerves about traveling alone, and the stay was perfect. Thank you so much for helping me. Enjoy my birthday in Frankenmuth.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay! We really liked the location of our inn. It felt safe, it wasn’t too close to the city but not too far out in the country, and the staff was very kind!

The wifi wasn’t good but the cell signal there was amazing. The room sizes were a bit smaller then expected but comfortable for two!

Very friendly staff, always have a clean, comforting experience at this hotel, best value in Michigan. Like the in-room coffee, comfortable bed, cleanliness of room and surroundings outside.

Big step into room can be a challenge at times.
