SpringHill Suites by Marriott Saginaw

We stayed at this hotel when it first opened many years ago. We enjoyed our stay and when needing to travel to Midland (25 min away), this was our choice! The hotel was very clean and the beds comfortable (this is huge for me because I have a very bad back). We love this hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Keep up the good work!

Only a couple downfalls, was there was no body wash in the shower (although I do love the pump bottles reducing plastic waste!!) and we were right next to the kitchen. The banging would start around 6am and I am a light sleeper. Not a huge deal, just an inconvenience. We stayed two nights and upon returning for the second night, discovered that the maids were not to the room. I had to ask for body wash for this reason and when asked we were told the maids only come every other day if staying longer then 1 night. Would have been nice to have been informed of that.

everything was in good order. Apparently the pool was closed for repairs, but I wasn’t interested in using the pool. A neighboring property was allowing guests to use their pool. I was unable to find anything I was disappointed about, except that no lights came on when I turned on the switches upon entering the room. The woman running breakfast was friendly and efficient, and kept the area clean despite a busy morning with lots of families.

The room setup uses some of the cool functionality of European hotels, but I was surprised there was no ISB charger by the bed . You need a cube to plug in. I addressed this situation by plugging a 10 foot cord into the ISB in the lamp in the work area. It reached the bedside without trouble when I opened the frosted glass partition separating the bed and work areas.

Nice hotel amid grand big shopping square/area - 100% clean & everything you'd expect from a hotel of the Marriott group - spacious rooms - no bother(noise)from shoppers as the hotel is located somewhat apart from the fashion square area Good breakfast with nice follow up from breakfast lady

Wifi did not work up in the rooms however we tried - when mentioning this I just got a ' that happens sometimes' No 'grab & go' bag or small token of compensation...When asking for it , they said it was just for loyal clients of the hotel chain...🙄

pros: location was excellent, I love target :) clean facility, unique room set-up, closet was huge! breakfast selection was great! I loved the oatmeal and multiple toppings/breakfast sandwiches. pool is small but kids still liked it, hot tub was great!

cons: the shade on the window was a bit ripped and I had no clue how to raise it (which is why I’m assuming g someone accidentally ripped it?) only one treadmill was functioning, the other two workout machines were out of order soap/shampoo dispensers in shower were not full- love this feature anyway

Great location next to restaurants and stores. Overall cleanliness and the room was very large. Having the toilet and shower being in two separate rooms is a great idea. The TV being able to rotate to face the bed and couch is excellent.

Breakfast ends way too early if you want to sleep in, but its still good breakfast. Our room wasn't cleaned once during our stay but I'm willing to believe it was because we didn't leave the room for extended periods of time, and might've been in the room during their cleaning times.

The staff are amazing. I liked the layout of my room too. Also the room was very clean. Like the free breakfast. Really it was the staff, they are just amazing people! I didn't use the pool, but I over heard some others in the lobby and they loved it. Like the onsite laundry. Liked the in room coffee. I would definitely stay here again and definitely recommend this place regardless of the cons I found. In fact, I extended my stay 5 extra days.

My wallpaper is falling off everywhere. Some equipment not working. Draps hung wrong, too much light! Bed Linen to flimsy? It wasn't enough. I was freezing at night, so I had to cranck up the heater, so by morning it icky hot and super dry. I just couldn't get air flow and temp right. The bed felt brand new, but my back was killing me in the morning. Could be the pillows? To be fair, I have a broken spine, so that could be it, but I don't have this problem with my bed at home, however my bedding is more tailored at home, so take this with a grain of salt. But the blankets, super light, super thin, but fine quality.

Felicia....thanks for welcoming us on our 25th anniversary. You are a delightful person. The room was excellent. The bed cozy. The hot tub was hot. Breakfast looked delish, but we didn't have it. They have a nice little snack pantry, for munchies or drinks. They have a gas fire pit outside it was nice. Real close to shopping and restaurants.

I wish coffee was offered all day...that's all

Location is accessible to everything Saginaw has to offer, including smooth interstate access! Hotel has a few minor issues, but they switched out our room no hassle at all. Every morning there was a decent breakfast selection, rooms were clean and staff went above and beyond

The cable was down for the first 3 days, thank God we had Netflix to login to use while we were there.

Nice property, really liked the room, particularly the bathroom layout.

Found the room had no towels or extra toilet paper on arrival, the front desk staff had both concerns addressed in minutes. Also, the pool area was incredibly hot... too hot to be comfortable for very long. Pool water didn't look particularly clean.

Location and breakfast was great.

I was concerned that there was almost no bathroom tissue, had to call front desk. But even then, the cleaner I though would have left a new one, but no. Had to call front desk a second time. I feel that needs to be upgraded. At least one should expect the cleaner to leave adequate tissue, not just a piece on the roll, an extra one would have been great,
