My Place Hotel-Wixom/Novi/Detroit, MI

The hotel looks as if it's been open less than a year. Super clean, very friendly service, rooms larger than expected and well equipped with a full sized fridge, microwave and stove top. Great for an extended stay.

More food options available in the lobby for prep in the rooms would be nice but really not a big deal at all since there are stores nearby.

The room was very spacious. The hotel in general was very clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful as well. 1st time stay and it was a great place to stay.

I wish they would provide a better selection for breakfast being that we had to purchase it. Other then that all was well.

The room itself was very comfortable and suited our needs quite well. We very much enjoyed our stay; the room was clean, there was almost no noise (Both in regards to other guests and it’s far away enough from the highway), appliances (AC, tv, WiFi, fridge) work very well. The hotel itself is very clean and presentable.

The hotel receptionists were nice but not always the most professional; it’s off-putting to hear them complain about their co-workers right in front of you, and to hear how “lazy” their housekeepers are. Also the rooms have a stove top, but they don’t have any utensils, pots, pans, plates, or anything. You have to buy it all from the hotel (Wasn’t really an issue for us since we didn’t cook, but we were still super confused by that).

Location, pillows, felt safe

Staff was great, I had pet friendly room with my 3lb dog but there were stains on carpet and it smelled funny. I told front desk and one of them went to spray and when I got back to room everything was wet (floor especially) and smell was covered but came back. Other than that it was fine. I did pay pet fee even though I have papers ESA and she never touched the floor my whole trip. I did like location of my room, top of stairs in corner so it was quiet and I slept great. The pillows were comfortable and fluffy.

Location was great and everything was clean! Front desk clerk was knowledgeable and helpful.

The Manager Jeff was very accommodating because my wife and I needed to get into our room before 12 noon, my car had stopped and my wife came up to help me and because I had to be at work she was spending the night so I could pick up my car. We aren’t from Detroit but I work there . I appreciate what Jeff did for us!

Everything! One might say this the is like a small apartment with a tiny kitchen, but TWO queen beds!

There wasn't anything that irritated me, but it would be nice to offer women the opportunity to pay for a shower cap if they forget to pack one (yep, me). Taught me 29 y/o son to look for My Place in future.

The fact that plates, silverware, a pot or pan to use was not provided in the mini-kitchen! Instead you had to buy these things in the lobby!! This was not clear when I booked my stay!

The cleanliness of the hotel and room actually exceeded our expectations. The room was nice and spacious with a decent kitchenette that included a full size fridge, microwave, toaster and everything else was excellent as well.

The price was right.

The outside door to the hallway was propped open when we arrived at 8:00 pm. This security breech made my wife feel uneasy. The facet in the bathtub was loose and about to fall off.

We originally stayed when they where just building and it was amazing how seemingly quiet it still was. Then we booked again the following year and it has transformed into a nice area to stay with family. With local shops,restaurants etc . This place is worth it!
