Candlewood Suites Vicksburg

Very friendly staff! The pantry was well stocked and I was ecstatic to learn the laundry was free! The kitchenette came well stocked with pots/pans, cutlery, dishes, etc. and there were even speciality items you could check out as well, such as blender, toaster oven, Waffle maker etc. There were even a large selection of DVDs and board games you can borrow as well. The gazebo where you can use the propane grills was placed perfectly where you can get a constant breeze. Definitely our favorite place to relax in the evening.

The only complaint, well inconvenience, was the cart that you can use to help unload all your luggage to your room. There were no ramps from the sidewalk to the parking lot so you couldn't push the cart to your vehicle. You still had to carry all your belongings across the parking lot to put on the cart, then push it upstairs.

The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. We had trouble opening our door and she came to the rescue.

I had read reviews about the floor of the elevator being sticky ... and it was. But when the lady came with me to help with our door, she saw it. When I got back on the elevator, it had been mopped. One thing that was very sloppy and unacceptable was the carpet in the room. It must have been new, but the carpet between the bed and the bathroom wall had not been completed. It had been trimmed up to a point and then just left. There was about a 3 foot piece of carpet just laying there, not trimmed off. The cleaning staff should have reported this.

The staff was very accommodating with making stay extensions. We booked 3 nights but ended up staying 7. We evacuated from Hurricane Ida with pets. We appreciated the pet walking area & dog treats at the front desk. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was great for keeping food expenses down.

I lost my Booking.com discount for most of the nights. Considering the circumstances of modifying the length of stay, it was understandable.

Candlewood doesn't serve breakfast. The location is on a frontage road, near an intersection, so be careful of traffic when exiting the premises.

Everything was exceptional. My family and I was traveling and booked the hotel online. However, we was in Southaven Ms. We went to the hotel there and was told our reservation was for Vicksburg. But, the staff in Southaven accomadated us, provided us with the rooms we needed and ensured we was comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay. The beds was so comfortable and the rooms was beautiful. This was truly a 5 star experience!

Very clean! Staff was exceptional and courteous given they were packed due to Hurricane Ida.

Lost power for a short amount of time. Property has a generator, but only for the lobby and hallways. Should invest in a generator to also power guest rooms.

The room was quite comfortable & the amenities were great!! I appreciated the ability to make my own coffee and the option to even cook a meal had we chose to do so.

The check-in was 2.5 hours late due to staffing issues and no compensation was offered to check out later the next day or receive a discount.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have a breakfast buffet. We think that would have been really nice. The room was very clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable

The staff was friendly and the location was close to interstate, Walgreens, Kroger's, gas stations, restaurants and shopping malls. The bed and pillows was very comfortable.

No ice machine on floor but the room had an apartment size refrigerator.
