everyone was so nice and check in was so easy. I’m currently 5 months pregnant and after a long drive I was ready to rest. when I checked in she stated I’d be upstairs. when I told her I was pregnant she got my a downstairs room and was by the door to make it easy getting my stuff in and out of our room. the breakfast was good better than some I’ve stayed at.

there was nothing I didn’t like.

I love this place! 99 % of the staff are friendly and helpful, and the eggs with the complementary were especially light and fluffy this trip. We go to Branson every couple of months, and we'll never stay anywhere else!

The service of the housekeeping staff was extremely disappointing. They wouldn't give us three towels for 3 people, only 2. They spent an hour in the room 2 doors down talking on the phone and watching TV while they parked their cart on one side of the upstairs walkway and two big garbage bags on the other side so you had to pick your way through carrying your stuff to the stairs. This is the only negative experience I have ever had here. I would still give Southern Oaks Inn a 10 and will stay there again.

Everything went well. We’ll probably stay again.

Old , bed hurt my back

I loved the location. The hotel was located near all the attractions we came to see. I was a little concerned regarding the cleanliness of the room/bathroom because of some of the reviews that were left. I was glad to see that wasn't our case. Our room was clean and comfy. The bathroom was clean, and we were provided with plenty of towels. There were no signs of bed bugs or any other critters. We always bring our own disinfectant wipes and spray to clean doorknobs, light switches, the remote control, and do a wipe down of the bathroom. All of the wipes we used had no "dirt" when we finished! I was pleasantly surprised! We didn't try the breakfast or visit the pool, but I would definitely book here again. The price was great for what we planned to do while in Branson. I was planning on taking pictures of our room to post, but I didn't get around to it.

The room was a little warm, and the AC didn't circulate well. I slept at the foot of my bed the last night so I could feel the air. I normally run a little warmer, but I checked with my family, and it wasn't just me. My husband and I took the bed near the AC, and our girls had the other, and they couldn't really feel the air circulating. We stayed on the second floor, and the 1st floor had a funny smell. The doors leading to the outside could use a good wipe down. They were dirty and could definitely use a good wipe down. The floors on the 1st floor may need to be mopped a little more often. There was a bad odor on that level, but you could tell the difference when the staff made their cleaning rounds.

The room was mostly clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable to sleep in and I felt clean and safe in it. The table and chairs were clean and well built. I felt comfortable walking on the carpet barefoot and all the common areas were well kept and clean. Breakfast was hot and good. Breakfast and front desk staff were wonderful on our day of checkout. The location was great! It's far enough off the strip to avoid traffic but close enough to have access when needed. We felt safe in the location as well. Because of the price we paid for two nights in a king bed with a whirlpool tub, I would definitely stay again.

The front desk clerk when we checked-in was less than happy to be there or help me, but she did get the job done. Room did have chipping paint and needed some repairs in some areas, but for the price it doesn't bother me. Housekeeping did not clean the whirlpool tub and left old used soap on the tub from the last guest. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and there are certain lines I won't cross when it comes to whether I'm comfortable staying in the room. This one didn't cross those lines. You can tell they are making every effort with short staff to get the job done right.

The people were amazing and the location is perfect. The breakfast was as good as any standard restaurant, especially the biscuits and gravy. The atmosphere was very relaxed, without that repulsive air of exclusivity that makes normal people cringe.

The building itself is aging and is in need of some renovation, but not anything that inconveniences the visitor. If you're bothered by imperfect baseboards or a crack in the linoleum, then perhaps you need another motel, but if you just want to be comfortable, you'll be fine.

Although the decor in the room was outdated, the room was very clean and comfortable. Definitely affordable. Lots of electrical outlets were available, so I could plug everything in as needed.

The WIFI was horrible, actually unusable. If it hadn't been for my phone being used as a hotspot, I would have had no access to the internet from my computer, which was my second highest need for the 2-day stay. Also, the toilets are so low that anyone with hip or knee problems would have been miserable. And the fact that the microwave was down the hall was a bit inconvenient, but I only used it once so it wasn't a big deal for me.

Good location and great price. Our room was clean and contrary to other reviews our beds were extremely comfortable. We stayed two nights and received fresh towels after our first nights stay without requesting them. I thought that was a nice gesture, normally you have to ask for fresh towels. If you’re not not expecting anything fancy and are only looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay for a decent price, I recommend staying here

The map or layout of the property that was provided at checkin. It was a little tricky trying to determine the entrances and exits to the unit we stayed in. Some units are set up as hotels and some as motels, ours was a hotel unit and the map given to us didn’t offer any help in determining which door led us to our room. It was a little confusing.

I want to start by saying that I was extremely nervous about staying here because of some of the previous reviews and how cheap the room was compared to everywhere else... but seriously everything about this weekend getaway was perfect. The room was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were all VERY friendly. The location was also spot on... just minutes away from all the places we went to and we didn't have to deal with all the traffic when staying on the main strip (76). It's close by multiple places to eat, (some within walking distance) and there's an indoor pool that the kids enjoyed at night. The water was cold but they didn't mind. With all this being said, this place is also super cheap compared to any other place in Branson! Highly recommend and without a doubt, we'll stay there again.
