Drury Inn & Suites Joplin

First, it was located right off of I-44, which was very convenient. Then, as I was checking in, without my even asking, the young lady behind the desk offered to let me park my motorcycle under the portico, which is my preference. I had forgotten that they include dinner and 3 cocktails, besides breakfast. I was hot and tired, so it was nice to not even have to leave the hotel. My room was large and my bed, quite comfortable. I slept well. Good pillows.

There were only 2 things that I didn’t care for. First, the bathroom was quite small, with no counter space. It would have been difficult for two people to get ready together. Secondly, my windows looked out over the indoor pool. So I didn’t get much light. And the noise from the late evening swimmers kept me awake until the pool closed at 10. Neither of these was a big deal.

Room was clean. Bed, pillows comfortable. Hot breakfast was excellent. (waffles, oatmeal, pastries, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, fried potatoes, milk, and several juices). Evening meal was really good. (Always a salad, meat, potatoes, mixed vegetables.). Don’t even have to leave to go out and eat dinner. Justifies the little higher price to stay, as one doesn’t have to pay extra for dinner. Restaurants close by if you do want to walk to them.

A lot of workers/contractors stay here. They get up early. Room doors slam shut on their own. Really loud. You will be woke up around 6:00 every morning with doors slamming. Some road noise from interstate as well.

The Drury Inn was not just a good value. Between the wonderful staff and the cleanliness of the hotel I would stay a hundred more times. The offering of a full breakfast as well as a Social Hour in the evening with basically a free dinner and up to 3 free drinks. The pool was clean and well kept, as was the workout room. Each and every employee that we met were courteous and helpful. The location is a good one with plenty of food options withing walking distance. There was also a few computer stations available to work from if necessary. We headed back up to Kansas City and also stayed at the Drury at the airport. Specifically because the lovely young lady at the Joplin branch told us her former boss is now running that one. I figured if he left this group so well Trained and helpful the new gig has to be good as well :)

The only thing I could mention is that the o e elevator has a musty smell. Not enough to determine us from using it.

Checked in with Cheyenne and she upgraded us to the best room they had for the same price that I booked a way smaller room because it was our anniversary. She was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Can't say enough for how she treated us like family. Room was huge. Had a full living room and separate bedroom. Room was literally 1 bedroom apartment without a kitchen. Perfectly clean. Bed extremely comfortable. Can't say enough about how great our room was. Breakfast was the best we had during our 6 state trip. If you ever had a chance to stay in Joplin MO, HIGHLY RECOMMEND DRURY INN...DO NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

Loved the personal the dinner and breakfast were good also . I would stay here again in the future !!

That I used a 3rd party and wasn't able to receive any reward points for my stay because I used 3rd party to get the room for 2 nights. I was bummed but now I know actually how to get the rewards. And I don't put blame on the Motel for that situation because I am the one who went through a service to get the room.

Didn't do breakfast BECAUSE of the filthy conditions.

There's no pride in the workplace? I knew something was off when I saw the dirty carpets in hall. I would have left if not exhausted at 1130pm! As soon as I opened the room door the smell of body order hit me. You could smell it in toilet area and in the pillows. Absolutely disgusting. I expect that from a $40 room! I'm experienced in Joplin hotels and thought I'd pay more this time for a CLEAN hotel. I WAS WRONG. We stayed 6 hours in that room and left!

Rooms were nice and clean, check in was a breeze. The gentleman working behind the counter was friendly and welcoming. Within walking distance to many restaurants.

The chlorine smell in the pool area was a little overwhelming. The area where the hotel is located is quite busy with lots of traffic.

The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean. It's on the main street in town surrounded by lots of restaurants. It's quiet and in the past the breakfast was good. I didn't have breakfast there this time but it was offered. Staff is friendly and helpful. I've stayed at multiple other hotels in the area when I came to visit family but this is the best one. It's also the quietest one.

Location, staff, breakfast, security everything about the Hotel was great. We loved the location to very good restaurants and proximity to our desired destination. Staff was so friendly and very accommodating.

All was great, liked the size of room. Can't think of anything we didn't like.
