Hampton Inn Joplin

The staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms were new and clean.

We booked the room for 5 (3 adults and 2 children) and the website said it would sleep 5 but it was not really big enough for that . We would have booked 2 rooms had we known it was that small.

The staff were AMAZING. We interacted with several of them. Wonderful attitudes, helpful, funny, genuine, and kind. The staff are why I took time to write this review. Refreshing to bump into quality people like this and make you feel welcome.

I didn't care for the room's bathroom having a non-sealing door - the door is a trendy, chic one like a sliding barn door that covers the bathroom area but doesn't make it private enough in my opinion.

it was beautiful and comfortable.

when we arrived the man at the reception gave me our room keys and told us how to get there. He was super kind. although when we reached our room and started to go in, he had given us the keys to an occupied room!! my husband had to go back down to the first floor and he explains to the man what has just happened and he doesn’t seem to care. just exchanges room keys with my husband and says have a nice night.

The breakfast was great, up to pre-pandemic standards. Healthy choices. It would be truly nice to have an extra chair in the room. Unless there is a sofa in the room, there is rarely two real chairs, only a hassock. This Hampton had great parking. The room keys worked well. Thank you.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel had a welcoming atmosphere and was filled with friendly people.

The coffee cartridge did not fit the machine in the room. I had to hold it in place at the tab and was burned by steam at the end.

The front desk gentleman that helped us and answered our questions was fun, patient, knowledgeable and considerate. I wish more front desk people were just like him!

The room smelled like burnt popcorn when we walked in, very unpleasant.

Nothing, The location was perfect right off of the highway. Restaurants in walking distance,gas right there also. The parking lot was well lighted. Very clean rooms.

Even tho they were short staffed and the first room we looked at wasn't cleaned the staff took care of us and got us to a room different room immediately they were very nice and professional 👌

the room smell chemical. Obviously it comes from detergent used to clean the carpet. No vent in the restroom.

Bed was comfortable and we had a spacious room with great layout. Appreciated the seal on door that stated the room had been sanitized. Bathroom well stocked with toiletries and towels. Staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast in a bag was provided upon checkout.

The carpets throughout the hotel, including our room, needed deep cleaning. Was more than just a spot here or there.
