Candlewood Suites Springfield South, an IHG Hotel

We almost always stay here when we are in Springfield. It is very clean beds are super comfortable and we like having the full size fridge and other kitchen amenities. We visit Springfield a few times during the year to visit family and this is our go to. The staff is helpful, friendly and very accommodating. I had actually booked a room with 2 beds and arrived to find they didn’t get that with my booking, and the room only had 1 bed. They didn’t have anything that evening, but told us they would have one the following day, which we were able to get right into the following morning. I will definitely be staying here again, but will not make my reservation through Booking.com as this is the second time the room I thought I had reserved was not what I got when I arrived. But both times the staff was very helpful and were able to make things right.

Not crazy about the table and storage layout since the remodeled. It makes the area near the beds seem small. This time we had a room with a connecting door and that was broken up. We prefer that and will request it in the future.

Front desk person was helpful and accommodating

Forgot there was no breakfast. Booking relayed incorrect info to the hotel regarding room requests. Front desk changed with no problem

This was the cleanest, most comfortable room we've ever stayed at. Staff were very nice and helpful.

The only drawback to our stay was the lack of a shelf next to the bathroom sink to place cosmetic items.

Location, staff, and being close to everything in town

The fact that booking.com didn't get their facts straight. I came to Candelwood expecting a Queen Suites. Come to the place and had a double bed suites. That was the only problem. Cleanliness was okay at best. The place is still better than most places in the area. But hey it's Springfield, it's not like Atlanta or DC and the like.

In a great location with many restaurants in walking distance. The bed was so comfortable I had to see what brand it was.. The staff was friendly and went out of their way for a request I had. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. It also had all the items you would need for a long term stay. Highly recommend

close to the hospital - which is what we were looking for

we were in an accessible room which was nice but the shower head was in the middle of the wall pointed directly at the shower curtain. very bizarre placement.

Clean room! Comfortable bed! Price was comparable with other place to stay. Love the kitchenette! Staff was so helpful and friendly. Location is off the main roads, so not loud with traffic.

Perfect location...full kitchen, no breakfasts...wonderful!

Clean and accessible of course but I left my sleep appliance on the nightstand, I called and sent them a return shipping envelope, I had my appliance in tow days and Deb called my cell phone to advise me when she dropped the pkg at UPS and emailed tracking info. They saved me the replacement cost of over $2K.
