The Mansion at Elfindale

This is such a charming bed and breakfast. It is attached to a church who owns the property. Very secluded and secure feeling. Has a really fun history and all of the rooms have their own décor theme. The small staff were so welcoming, helpful, and friendly. With an old home, there are quirks which could be an issue for some like no elevator, slower draining tub, but for two adults without mobility issues it worked great. Breakfast is included on Saturday and Sunday and was a small, but yummy selection.

There was not much for us to be able to complain about. For the price, this was a great stay. We are looking forward to coming back when we are in town.

We, me and my wife, stayed for one night in the Governor Suite on the first floor (right opposite to the check-in/office room). Myra S checked us in, she was very pleasant to talk to.. Large spacious room. Very nicely lit and fantastically ornate. Our room had a microwave and mini-fridge. We wandered though the second and third floors and the hallways were so grand and decorated. There was a coffee station (you make your own; Keurig/K-Cups) in the hallway. The parking lot was very well lit and safe. Also in the morning explored the exteriors of the mansion. Took many pictures to capture our pleasant memories to cherish later. The mansion is in a safe and very quiet location, while indeed very close to the famous aquarium and Bass Pro Shop. We loved our stay from the beginning to the end and glad we made the decision to stay here. This was different that staying in a hotel, and we lived the homely feel. Definitely would love to stay here again if we are back in the area. Would strongly recommend The Mansion at Elfindale to other travelers who plan to visit Springfield, MO.

Everything was more than perfect.

The property was beautiful! We stayed in the Governors Suite, and it was stunning. The location was right in the middle of everything, so was perfect. Myra is super friendly and you're able to explore the property as you please, which includes all of the open rooms that are each decorated with their own unique theme. Would love to stay again!

The room was fairly dusty, could have been a bit cleaner. Also, the claw foot tub is okay...not my favorite though. Would be better if there were a place to put shampoo, conditioner and soap. Breakfast was also only available from 8-8:30am. Would be nice if the hours were extended a bit.

I loved my stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and generous. They were more than happy to go the extra mile to help me out, even allowing me to check out later than the usual time. Breakfast was good, too.

The WiFi was a bit slow from my room. Also, be warned that you will need to provide an accurate check in time, as the front desk is only staffed from 3-6 pm, and they require advance notice for checking in outside this window.

The old building has such a unique history with a chapel and grounds. Myra checked us in and gave us a tour of the mansion and spoke about the history. In the morning we found the path to the old lake and enjoyed the route. Bed was comfortable and the room spacious.

finishes are a bit dated.

Clean and beautifully decorated. Each room is so unique and the wide hallways with couches and tables were a comfortable gathering place. The grounds were pretty. There is a short walk around the small lake that was very nice after dinner. Myra was friendly and welcoming.

The claw foot tub/shower combo is charming, but was a bit small. We were there mid-week so we missed the breakfast.

Charming old property. So much history. Very comfortable, all the amenities that you need and more. Friendly service and nice privacy.

The property is old and historic , you need to know that going in and appreciate all it has to offer… including the imperfections.

This place is beautiful, and I love that it is accessible and being used! There is a loving spirit about the place and the staff, rooms are very comfortable and have so much space and personality; we slept great, breakfast was satisfying.

I think this property should be so busy that they can afford to upgrade and maintain this gorgeous, welcoming home effortlessly. Despite having no elevator, I would stay here hands down over a standard modern hotel. It was comfortable, friendly and gracious.

My Bestie Nat and myself went for a night away. We were so in love with Ms.Myra and her Welcoming, loving, knowledgeable and compassionate self❣ Literally everyone and everything was so enchanting and beautiful❣🥰🤯💕 We would give our experiences and stay 100 stars if possible😊 Can't say enough:) Amazing!!!!!♡♡♡♡

Loved the facility. It is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. She did a nice job of explaining the history of the mansion. It was very quite. We enjoyed looking around the unoccupied rooms in the mansion.

Our biggest problem was not having an elevator. Also we were disappointed that the facility did not serve breakfast during the week. If they couldn't serve a nice breakfast during the week, maybe they could serve a self serve light breakfast.
