Holiday Inn Express and Suites Springfield Medical District, an IHG Hotel

The hotel was convenient to the highway on our cross country trip. It was near restaurants and easy to find. Our check in desk clerk was professional and attentive, they were also patient and friendly when my children counted out their money to buy items from the snack counter. Our room was very clean and spacious, I appreciated that the bedding for the pullout couch was already in suite in the closet. Breakfast was a great variety to suit all our tastes (pancakes, cheese omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, biscuits/gravy, fresh fruit, etc..). We enjoyed our stay as we usually do at Holiday Inn Express hotels.

I have no complaints, we were pleased with our stay.

Room space Cleanliness Bed was comfortable

- Hallways on floors were noticeably hot and uncomfortable. - Elevators were dirty. - Breakfast was poorly stocked - - Room took around 2 hours to get to proper temperature. *95 degrees during the day in Sept so I'm sure that didn't help* - Baymont hotel in Springfield, the night before, was a better value for the money in my opinion as Holiday Inn was almost twice as expensive. - Size of t.v.

Convenient location - easy to get in and out of the parking lot. Breakfast was one of the best I have enjoyed in weeks. Lots to choose from and the hot things were hot. The Room was spacious and good for an extended stay. So good I have extended my stay another 15 days.

My first room was on the first floor. Unfortunately other guests would congregate outside my window for their social hour. I requested to be moved to a higher floor and the staff was very accommodating.

The staff were really nice, I was on crutches and the lady at the desk put me in the room right by the breakfast area on the first floor. The room was clean and beds comfortable. The breakfast was good, scrambled eggs, omelets, biscuits, gravy, bacon, pancakes, yogurt, bagels, oatmeal, bread for toast, etc. The location was in a good spot, not a lot of traffic.

Nothing to complain about.

The food was good and they had a good variety to choose from. The area was kept very clean and the staff was nice.

The only glitch we had was a mix up in the original booking. We booked two rooms and the Holiday Inn only had us booked for one. I'm glad I called ahead of our reservation to confirm with the hotel. Booking.com took care of the problem.

Reception staff was very kind and upgraded our room upon check-in. Room 103 on 1st floor was nice as it was at the end of the hall where it was quiet and not much activity. Also located right by a side exit to the parking lot so we didn't need to use the elevator or walk through the hotel. First time staying here on the 1st floor and now we think that is better compared to staying in the upper floors as we had in the past.

It was very good and had many choices. Employees involved were very friendly and helpful.

The air conditioner controls being far away from the unit. Also to keep the person sleeping on the couch cool it froze the people on the bed by that unit. Also the I could not get the drain in plug in tub to stay closed so disappointed I couldn’t make use of the soaker tub. I forgot to report that when I left.

Everything was great we loved that the breakfast was available until 10 because we always wake up late but what we were most thankful for was the fact that we forgot our toiletries bag and didn’t realize it until we got to the hotel and luckily the hotel had complimentary toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant (you had to ask the front desk) so this was a lifesaver!

they had rooms with 2 queen beds and a sofa pull out which was great for our group. my mom can’t sleep laying down all the way so she sleeps better on a couch propped up.

the cell service wasn’t great here. it’s not the hotels fault but just something good to know.

Staff was friendly and eager to help. Everything was clean and organized. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was very kind and helpful.

There was just one morning the breakfast wasn't good, but every other day it was good. My kids would have liked a bigger pool but they were glad to be able to swim.
