Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Rochester, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast and breakfast staff was great! The back door closest to where there was parking most of the time AND closest to our room wouldn't open and when mentioned, we were told that they know about it. So then guests were propping it open. Staff at front desk 2 we're pretty friendly-one was meh, she seemed like a manager. Laundry was expensive. Did one load and paid $2 for detergent, $2.50 for the washer and $2.50 for the dryer. The cookies in the evening were a nice touch. We came back one day and the bed was made-which is nice but the towels weren't refilled. The towels in the pool area were empty. Exercise room was decent but tiny and very warm. Room was nice. Bed was uncomfortable for the price of the room, I was hoping for a better bed. I think it was too stiff maybe.

this HI never disappoints. My go-to when visiting family in the area. The room smelled like wer dog when I entered it though, thats the only negative. they apparently knew this though, as they had freshener cannister under the air unit.

Door for guest entry into ground floor hallways was finicky. Needs to be fixed, as it was difficult to operate with full hands.

Everything. Great staff and good breakfast to start the day. Great food and shopping right across the street and literally next door!

Due to the weather and staff shortage, our room didn't get cleaned on the 3rd day. We didn't need it touched off every day, but that day we needed it. No biggy, it happens.

The Hotel is very clean, all of the staff members were very friendly and helpful, especially the front desk manager Samantha Shover. Our grand-daughter especially loved the pool and we loved the hot tub.

We like a firmer mattress but I guess most people like them softer.

We loved the size of the room. It was very spacious and the decor was very modern and beautiful for a low-key hotel. We had a nice view of a semi-frozen lake (or river?) over the side parking lot. It may not be much to some but we loved it. We also loved the friendliness of the staff and the breakfast was great!

On two occasions, both the water from the sink and the water in the shower was BROWN! We let me run for a while before using either, but that was definitely unsettling!

We have stayed at this location many times over the years. The breakfast was always fresh, many choices, and delicious. The pool and hot tub is ALWAYS clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for visiting our grandchildren.

Room was clean and beds were comfy. Love having a mini. Fridge and microwave. The breakfast was excellent with a nice variety and good coffee. Pool was fun and indoors was perfect but only if there are no more than 6 people it’s a tiny area.

No room service until the fifth day due to covid I was told. It was fine for 2 days but by the 3rd day I would of wanted service. You can get towels at the lobby.

Location was great. Large room with comfy bed. Good shower, great sized TV and good wifi. Both evening and morning front desk gals were personable and helpful. Breakfast looked good, but we had to leave quickly to avoid Hurricane Elsa, so we missed it.

Softer pillow would be appreciated. Also, when we asked, one of the maids told us she was not vaccinated, and she was not wearing a mask. Not safe for her nor for us!

Breakfast was good but ended a little early for me, My daughter got me juice and fruit because I wasn't up in time. Bathroom was handicap accessible and was great for me.

Our room got upgraded, so much space! Breakfast was the best I’ve seen in forever! Every staff member was upbeat and made us feel special.

Room had three people, coffee should be provided for 3 people.
