Budget Lodge

My queen room was fit for a Queen. Nice, small room, with a table & 2 chairs. Microwave, Room size refrigerator. The bed was comfortable, sheets were soft, even the pillows were great. The hotel has new owners, & they have done a great job remodeling the property. I will definitely stay at this hotel again, it was a great price, Good location. 😊

I didn't dislike anything about the hotel, but there is no hairdryer or coffee pot in the room. I don't use a hairdryer. I don't care for the pod cup coffee, so I bring my own instant coffee , cup & creamer. Neither of these were an issue for me. Just information.

Nice staff, comfy and clean room at a great location, decent value.

The layout of the room is rough. My bed was right by the door for the next room over and the guests staying there were going in and out slamming the door loudly through the night and early morning hours. Not really impressed by the breakfast. My kids fixed a bowl of cereal but the milk was warm. Went to make waffles but there was no more batter even though there was an hour left of breakfast scheduled. The hotel drive up/ entrance was in a terrible spot right at the stoplight to a busy intersection where you pretty much block traffic to get in or out. It was also weird that someone was walking around watching my family the whole time. Every time we went in or out a man was walking and talking to himself, and at one point even sat outside our window. It was uncomfortable and awkward.

Right in the middle of town off main road, yet it was very quiet. I arrived late around 11:00pm and the front desk gentleman was very kind. Room was very clean, comfortable bed and plus to have breakfast for free too. So nice to NOT hear housekeeping knocking on doors in the morning, or rushing you. I was even 10 minutes after check out and they just smiled. Recommend this place. Rooms are more like a Studio.

I didn’t find anything to complain about, there is even cable, WiFi, fridge, microwave here too. Great place.

The family that owns this little gem of a motel were the kindest & most hospitable people. Breakfast was ample with juice milk coffee cereal waffles eggs toast muffins apples oranges which saved me from having to buy breakfast elsewhere. The bed was very comfortable & the gas wall heater kept us toasty when temps dropped into the 20s. The location is also great just minutes from downtown shops. You can also see Sierra Blanca peak from the 2nd floor. Just a note the property is for sale so hopefully when the time comes the new owners run the place in a similar manner. Would love to stay again next year for Spring Break.

That the rate went up for Spring Break understandably we lucked out staying right before they went up.

The room was clean and the staff were nice -> way better than most other places in New Mexico/Texas with this price range.

No any kind of breakfast was offered. They should change the information both at Booking.com and on their reception wall as the current information is misleading. We knocked the reception door at 7am only to hear that there were not enough guests to make breakfast: not the best way to start a hiking day in a small town during off-season (also the cafeteria they recommended was closed). If the customers knew about this lack of breakfast they could plan for it. Also, the thermostat in the room did not seem to work as the room temperature was only slightly over that of outside (cool, not freezing).

I appreciated the breakfast.

The swallows with the nest at the entrance were sometimes troublesome to enter or leave.

Everything was great. Water pressure was impeccable. The view was so beautiful. We got a free upgrade to a bigger bed as soon as we got there which we thought was really nice and we got to park right in front of our room. Everything was very clean even though there was a staffing issue, they still managed to make our stay unforgettable I would 10/10 recommend this place and I would stay there no doubt again

Excellent location, close to everything. Very friendly staff. Continental breakfast with waffles. Clean rooms.

Short staffed so no housekeeping with a multi-night stay. Had to get fresh towels from Lobby. But, everyplace these days is short staffed so it wasn't a problem for us.

Basic amenities were there with a couple of minor exceptions. Reasonably good location. Service was decent. Shower, plumbing, etc. were up to date and very functional.

Some roadwork going on so a bit of planning needed driving onto and off of the property.

Love the beds. So comfortable and inviting. The rooms are cozy. The whole place was nice and quiet.

The parking lot is small. Not enough parking spaces. First night we had to park at the other end away from our room.
