Pointe Plaza Hotel

the staff were amazing and the room was comfortable. breakfast included was basic but sufficient.

the location really lets this place down. we weren’t aware that it was located in the heart of the orthodox Jewish community so it was a trek to get anywhere suitable for us. links to public transport for Manhattan/williamsburg are 15-20 minute walk away. as are shops.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Room was much bigger than expected, with a kitchenette and dining space.

The hotel is right in the middle of an Orthodox Jewish community (which I wasn't aware of when I booked), so there almost weren't any restaurants, shops, pharmacies, etc. for blocks around. The elevator needs maintenance.

pictures made me think the room would be smaller. Was pleased with the size of the room. Staff was very friendly.

Liked the kitchen but unless I packed my pots, pans, plates etc. I would not be able to make use of this so if you are charging extra because there are kitchen facilities you should make them usable. I did not even have a coffee cup for the coffee I made in the provided coffee maker and I had to go to front desk to ask for a fork to eat the restaurant leftovers I had brought back. Breakfast options were poor. Have gotten better for much less room rate many places

When we walked in the room, we saw a kitchenette which was not advertised, but there were no utensils or cookware so it really didn't matter that it had it. Large sitting room/dining room. Two twin beds which were VERY comfortable. Best part was the staff - they were all exceptionally nice and helpful. Breakfast bagels were warm and delicious.

Location was just OK. It may not have been their fault, but I did lose a nylon bag that I had brought soft drinks in. The drinks were in the refrigerator so I know I had it when I checked in. But in packing to leave, it was not there. Had to leave by 6am, so didn't have chance to tell staff, but I did write an email and they responded that they did not find it. Where could it have gone?

Parking is a major issue

Spacious suite. Comfortable bed. Hotel decor and facility a bit dated but when it was new, it must have been grand with extremely high ceilings in the rooms at least on my floor. It's clean and comfortable and the price is great for Brooklyn. Area has a family community feel as it is in the midst of a Hasidic Jewish community where you see children going to and from school.

This is a modest hotel, not fancy, but clean and the rooms have kitchenettes with two stove burners. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was also modest. Good, local bagels with options for toppings. Note: there is no breakfast service on Saturdays. I am familiar with this part of Brooklyn and it was convenient to my work travel location. If I were simply a tourist, its not in a touristy part of Brooklyn. It's a 20-25 minute walk to the DUMBO area of the Brooklyn waterfront. Not sure how far the closest subway station is, as I either walked or took an Uber. I liked the price, cleanliness and convenience of this neighborhood.

The kitchenettes had no dishware or flatware. You have this large kitchenette and you can't really cook or do much beyond take out or heating the portable little coffeemaker I travel with. No microwave.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this charming hotel in the heart of Williamsburg. Staff was helpful, rooms were very clean and surprisingly well stocked in terms of amenities. It doesn't try to be or offer too much, and that's just what I loved about it: a very decent place to spend a couple of nights, at a very decent price, in a very decent neighbourhood.

While our stay was very positive and we'd stay again, the noise from the streets was almost unbearable. I don't think the windows were double glazed and we could hear the intense honking wars well into the late night, which made it pretty difficult to fall asleep. Our bed also had a piece of its metal frame sticking out the side (it wasn't broken, it just looked like someone forgot to push it back in), which was pretty painful the two times I stepped on it getting off the bed in the morning. Hopefully it's not a common occurrence.

Our room was spacious and included a large kitchen. We didn’t use this, but it was nice to have available to us. Staff was really helpful and allowed us earlier checkin (we arrived around 1:30, while check-in is at 3pm), which was great since we were traveling with small kids. Breakfast includes fresh bagels with some nice selection of smears, which was nice, too. I think the price of the hotel was a bit on the expensive side, but hotel prices in NY are really high right now anyway. All things considered it was a fair deal :). We could park for free on the street outside the hotel, but space is limited so your mileage may vary.

The hotel is in the middle of the Hasidic community of Williamsburg, which means all shops and restaurants etc. are closed on Saturday’s as they observe sabbath. For the same reason, the hotel does not serve breakfast on Saturdays. Although there are a few subway stations in the neighborhood, they are not super close by.

The room was larger than I expected! Nice kitchen, high ceilings, effective drapes and climate control, big closet. The free breakfast was appreciated (bagels made to order, cereal, apples, drinks). Everything I used in the room was clean. The location worked for my purposes, and was about a 10 minute walk from a subway station.

The room could have been a little cleaner, as there was lots of visible dust on the bathroom ceiling fan and light fixture. I wish the breakfast went a little later (only open 7:30-9, and closed on Saturdays.
