The staff members are exceptionally hardworking and honest. My daughter forgot her iPad at the coffee station downstairs. Asked the front desk and was told a staff member had found it. It was returned to us and we were overjoyed and very impressed. Also asked for housekeeping after hours and was impressed that the room was clean when we returned even though it was very late at night. Will recommend this hotel to anyone!

The telephone in the room was not working at the time of our stay. Had to communicate with front desk by going downstairs to the lobby each time you needed something. We were told they were updating their communication system at the time.

Cozy comfortable room. It was a nice location. The king size was Amazing too. The no smoking in the hotel really made a huge difference. My stay at the ALOFT was just what I needed.

The only thing I would have expected was to have a microwave inside the room. I had to stay for a couple of weeks so being able to warm up my food in the room would have been a plus. Also it was a little annoying smelling marijuana/cigarette smoke on the elevators. Otherwise all was well.

I took a staycation as i only had one day off and then i had to return to upstate New York fir work. The location is central to multiple shops and outlets that ate on Jay Street. Its on a nice quiet block and stone's throw from the A train station. Upon checking in staff was courteous. The building is very quiet inside , you dont hear other guests through the walls like some other places. My room had a king size be with crisp clean sheets and linens. The only reason i gave a 9 and not 10/10 was because there was no microwave in the room so if i had to heat something up id have to leave my room on the 14th floor and go to the lobby and you can't do it yourself a staff member goes in the back and does it for you.. another inconvenience is the mini refrigerator in my room was aslo out of order so that meant leaving my room on the 14tb floor to go to the lobby and have a front desk clerk fill it for me... outside of that i enjoyed my couple hours of rest. I definitely will book again next time i have a couple days off!!

Room was fine; person cleaning room each day was very good with a minor exception to the last night of stay. On that night we were left with fewer towels and 1 water. The other days everything was fine. We think thee area around the hotel is safe, but we don't really know.

The last night fewer hand towels and just one water as opposed to 2. Some gathering outside bar near hotel at night when we were walking back- but think it was ok.

The bed was super comfortable and the shower was lovely. Good location for the metro just a 1 min walk to take the metro into manhattan.

In the middle of my stay aloft took another preauthorisation of 400 dollars or so and held the funds on my card. They didn't tell me upfront this would happen so i ended up having very little money at the end of my stay. This would have been important to know up front. There was no bar or communal area really to sit in the lobby. It was quite warm but I couldn't leave the window open during the night because it was very noisy.

Hotel is nice and very well located.

I had booked my room in order to do a late check in since I would be flying in to town after a 19 hour flight, once I arrived at the hotel they totally ignored the fact that I had made a note on the reservation that it would be a late check in, since I wanted my room guaranteed once I arrived at 7 am. If my travel agent wouldnt have called, they would have denied a room, we had to wait over an hour an order to get our issuse solved.

Location was great - I work about 900 feet from ALoft. Rooms were very clean. There is a refrigerator in the room (under the bathroom sink) and there is also a ironing board with iron in the room. Around the corner from your bed.

The toilet paper roll should be replaced when it is about empty. when I first got there, there basically was nothing on the roll. The room service did not change it before I arrived. They also did not change it when they cleaned the room.

The room was well cleaned, and the bed was very comfortable . The hallway was very quiet, which I appreciated because I did come for a piece of mind, and that's exactly what I got 😊. The elevators were fast, which was another plus 😊

I didn't like that there was not a microwave in the room , and there was plenty of space for one, so a lot of my good food had to be thrown out.😡

I loved that the room was clean that there was a fridge in the room.

What could have been better was the channels on the Television. There were only like 9 working channels on that T.V. Also another thing was that the door had no latch so besides the lock I didn’t feel safe thinking someone can come in with a card key and open the door.
