Ace Hotel Brooklyn

great design/boutique hotel, beautifully done

not even the basics in the room are complementary, no coffee in the morning (!) everything is self service and has to carried to the room in cardboard boxes.

Really nice room with a great view - set up nicely with tasteful decor, comfortable bed, a very quiet room even though the hotel was absolutely hopping in the lobby, etc.

I object to there being no free coffee for guests - either in the room or downstairs in the lobby! At the price of this hotel, coffee should be available. Also, no iron or ironing board, only a steamer.

During our recent trip to Brooklyn, we stayed at the Ace Hotel for 3 days, and it pleasantly surpassed our expectations. Despite traveling with children and having four people in our room, we found the accommodations spacious enough for a comfortable stay. The rooms were impressively clean, and the city views from the hotel were quite enjoyable. The staff at the hotel was friendly, polite, and always ready to help when needed. We were so pleased with our experience that we decided to return for a longer 5-day stay during our journey back. If you're planning to visit Brooklyn, I would recommend considering the Ace Hotel for its clean rooms, great views, and attentive staff.

Friendly and professional staff. The atmosphere was great, the whole interior of the hotel coherently delivered a young, sophisticated and elegant vibe. The lobby and the bar area were always vibrant with a cool-looking crowd and good music. The view from the room was stunning, we enjoyed it every day and night. The restaurant As You Are makes tasty and creative dishes. The location was also perfect, several subway lines are nearby.

There were small hiccups, I requested a room with a bathtub through the special request section but the front desk was not aware of it. We took the room with a shower in the end because the view was great. There was a mistakenly charged minibar item after the check-out, but it was swiftly corrected within a few email correspondence. The reaction from the staff was understanding and helpful throughout. Lastly, the air conditioning at the restaurant was a bit too excessive, felt like a terrace seating in December in Paris.

Compared to other hotels in Manhattan it is quite modern and affordable. Being just two metro stops away from Manhattan. The room had a good size, nice bathroom and a proper desk which you can use for work if you need. Location is algo good, very close to the metro station.

We stayed in a room facing north/northeast which means you have a view to the building in front of the hotel. No skyline view whatsoever. Also for light sleepers this can be a tricky place to stay, since the room is quite noisy, there was some constant fan/electrical noise that we couldn’t turn off and you can hear and feel the metro passing below the hotel, even if you are in the 10th floor.

ACE has the most comfortable & biggest bed I've ever slept in. Everything looks incredible - the design is fantastic. I loved playing the records on the record player that came with the room. The Internet is brilliant! Lots of co-working space. An amaz!ing cafe located within the hotel that does amazing pastel de natas! Didn't use the mini bar but it looked amazing ACE is located in a neighborhood which is growing exponentially. There was everything around - some incredible resturants and cafes and bookstores - all a 5 min walk away. Brooklyn Bridge a 30-40 min walk & subway stop from/to JFK & Manhattan across the road! Massive shout out to the woman who checked me in, she was amazing and so so so helpful! A credit to the hospitality industry. I wish I knew her name, to give her proper credit. Fantastic staff all around.

Water could have been hotter (but I love it SUPER hot) That's it!

It's a super stylish, beautifully designed hotel near some of Brooklyn's best neighborhoods: Fort Greene, Boerum Hill, Brooklyn Heights, etc. The lobby has a fun vibe, there's a bagel place downstairs, and there's good transit nearby.

There's no coffee/tea in rooms. They said they have a coffee shop on site in lieu of complimentary coffee/tea. However, it doesn't open until 7:30 (on multiple days I had something to do by then, plus who likes having to get dressed and ready for the day before caffeine?), and it closes early in the afternoon. That was inconvenient

The hotel had a good vibe - the atmosphere was alive with music in the evenings! Quaint rooms with some artistic influences in the decor - guitars on the wall, turntables in the room, frig looking like a jukebox etc. Staff was extremely friendly - from the wonderful doorman to the front desk personnel. Extremely well located within Brooklyn - at least for waht we needed.

The only thing that was missing was within the room - there was no coffee or tea for that morning start! This has now become a room standard where all rooms are generally equipped with coffee, tea, sugar etc so we were surprised when we did not find this. To go down and try to get a coffee from Black Seed next door was tedious due to the line up of customers waiting to get their morning coffee! Also, there was no iron / ironing board in the rooms - for international travellers who come great distances with many clothes that could crumple, this can be a problem.

The quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in. We were on the 11th floor, and there was virtually zero noise from outside at night, and only occasional faint sirens etc during the day. Even the fridge in the room was silent. The room was also fitted with blackout curtains, which combined with the quiet gave us the best nights of sleep ever in a city - and amazing for New York! Decor throughout the hotel is funky and we had a nice view from our room overlooking Schermerhorn - I'm not sure the views from the other side across Bond St would be as nice.

One caveat to the quietness of the room - if you want the air con on, it roars like a 747. There's also a constant fan in the bathroom, but with the door shut it's not noticeable in the room.
