The property was very close to the main town (approx .2mile walk) which was nice. The property was very updated, we did not use a key card to enter the room, they provided an electronic passcode and room number prior to our arrival. The rooms were very clean and cozy. The bed & pillows were very soft and there was, what we believe to be, a weighted extra blanket which was made of a nice material. There was ample parking. There was also a fire pit area in the back with ample firewood and the area felt private which was really nice.

Our stay amenities included Disney/ Hulu service since they do not provide regular tv. This service was not set up on our tv and made an attempt to get in touch with the property, however we did not hear back from them with a fix.

The room was very clean and simple. There was a small kitchen area with a mini fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The room also came with plates, bowls, silverware and cups. The heated flooring in the entry and bathroom area was a great surprise, it really helped wick away the water from the snow being tracked in. The toiletries were top notch. The room was also equipped with an Alexa which was nice for getting the weather in the morning. Overall was a great place for a weekend or extended get away!

For the door entry beware you will need an app on your phone or use the keypad and there is no chain lock in the inside, this was concerning, so beware if traveling alone.

Great location to town, king room w/balcony was large and roomy. Beautifully redone room - loved the T&G for the ceiling, Adirondackie. Had the king room with balcony- liked looking out and down to see things. Comfy beds and pillows and hard wood floors - bring slippers. Good water pressure.

Observations….The bathrooom needs hooks for clothing and a shelf to put things on nearby the sink. There were 2 of us and only 1 chair to sit on to watch tv the other had to sit on the bed or foot stool (no back support, not relaxing at all). Oh and lastly, the mini fridge (which I appreciate having) was on the floor and kinda difficult to see inside, had to get on hands and knees (not cool) needs to be raised/lifted to knee height. Overall not a deal breaker, more a convenience as getting older and getting on hands/knees isn’t easy getting back up as it once was.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Loved the 2 bedroom setup with kitchenette and modernized bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lobby had a comfortable living room to relax for a little while. Pool area looked so nice along with the Adirondack chairs and fire pit overlooking Lake Placid. We couldn’t use either bc it was winter but hope to stay in the summer to enjoy both.

Wish there was a door mat inside entry to wipe out shoes on and set them and/ or a swifter mop. A broom in the rooms would be nice because it wasn’t carpeted but did like the floors.

Great location—easy to find, easily able to walk to downtown Placid, 1-2 minute drive in opposite direction is Walgreens should you have forgotten any thing/want snacks (who doesn’t want snacks?!) and just beyond that is Stewart’s (region-specific gas/convenient store) and a plaza with a grocery store and Marshall’s. Room was VERY clean and smelled amazing; lights were on (think modern day, MUCH cuter Motel 6 with their slogan “we’ll leave the light on for you!”) and Alexa was playing soft jazz. Bed is comfy—blankets are just enough for that added weight, pillows are typical hotel pillows with not enough support, but my fragile 🙄 neck means I always bring my own pillow and the fridge kept my water nice and cold. There’s a little sitting space (in the King room) with 2 chairs and a small table, towels aren’t sandpaper and the bathroom mirror/lighting wont make you look like an ogre. You will get your room number/door code around 1pm-ish the day of arrival. I know this because I got anxious at 12:40 as I hadn’t received it and called. The very nice person that answered manually pushed it through to give to me and that’s how I learned 1pm is The Time 🤣. There’s no typical “front desk”. Rate for the night was decent for the area. Most hotels/motels charge a ridiculous per night rate (Crowne Plaza, Marriott and others, I’m looking at you!), but this place wasn’t one that required me to choose between groceries for the week or an overnight stay away. I hope they keep it like this. I know rates will fluctuate based on time of year/events going on, but I still think some are ridiculous (Marriott, Crowne Plaza…I’m still looking at you!). Whether you’re looking for an overnight stay, a weekend or even a week, give this place a try. You’ll be happy.

There wasn’t any hand soap, but Walgreens is close by and spending $2.09 on soap wasn’t a big deal. Plus, most soaps in hotels/motels aren’t antibacterial anyways

Comfy bed (like super comfy!) Linens were lush and soft. Room was nice size, spare without being cold and uninviting . Clearly recently updated. Bathroom was small but meticulously clean with big soft towels. Location is good, a short walk down to main street with all the shops and restaurants about 5 to 10 minute walk away.

Communication wasn't the best. Our room had a big smart TV, but no remote. No one was in the office or answering the phone. Had to track down a housekeeper on our second day who was very pleasant and accommodating. Gave us a new remote that turned on TV but nothing else? No help available to make it work. Finally, there was no internal lock on the door. Really would have felt better being able to deadbolt at night.

Needed more light in the bathroom. A can light over the tub area would have been nice. It was kinda dark taking a shower in the evening. A mix of both firm and soft pillows would have been nice. Did not know there ice in the coffee area. Didn't appear to be live television available. Couldn't find regular live broadcasts. I was granted an early check in but no one was available and the phone# listed was not in service. My check in date was 8/20 but I never received my code til 8/21. Fortunately after a 45 min wait an employee arrived and was able to tell me my rm # and key code.

Rooms were clean and looked like they were recently updated. Towels were beautiful! The room was quite spacious. We loved the location. We had a quiet stay while we were there.

We didn't see any staff the time we were there. Also you couldn't raise the volume on the television because it was set to a certain level. I tried to change our dates because a family member became ill. I contacted the lodge and Miguel was wonderful helping me and said that they had availablebility other dates. However since I booked thru booking.com, booking said that I wouldn't be able to change dates. In the future I will not be using booking. com again.

The rooms were very clean with extremely comfortable beds and bedding. The location is so convenient and it’s a very quick walk into town. The property is dog friendly, which is always a bonus!

We ran out of toilet paper the first day and there was no one in the office the few times we stopped by and called, and housekeeping is by request only, so we had to purchase our own. When booking through Booking.com, the entry code to the room is supposed to be sent through them but we never received it. Thankfully there was someone available earlier in the day before we arrived, so they provided the code over the phone. However, I feel that we got lucky because there was no office staff on the property to answer questions during our stay.
