Good location and room size. Staff was very helpful. Room was clean. Eating area with a little kitchen table and chairs and sink, gazebos on the water and stained-glass light in our room. Water was hot.

Noise level between rooms was high but people were respectful. Rooms were dated but still had some charm. Price seemed high for what you got and the time of the year. I think that is the nature of the area as all the hotels/motels in the area seemed high.

Loved the check in process, this is how it should be - I pay, you give me the key code, and no one bothers anyone! Especially since we arrived late. The rooms were ok, bathroom was clean and lots of Keurig coffee available in the room! The surroundings were beautiful, right by the lake.

Just the creaky floor! I could hear people upstairs and even in our rooms (party of 3), plus the door was hard to open/close separating the two rooms.

Our room (#14) was spacious, clean and comfortable--like an apartment where everything was taken care of for us. The bedding was fantastic. The family room was where we spent most of our time; the hulu worked well. Perhaps best of all was the location itself. It's right near the water and has an adjoining pond; within walking distance are good, reasonably priced eateries--the Blue Line Brewery, La Bella Ristorante, Mountain Mist ice cream, Casa Del Sol.

I was a little concerned when all I could find for our one night stay was a very old school motel. We were very happy to find how clean the room was, as well as how well kept the grounds were. Little things like having a Keurig coffee maker in the room were a great touch. The bed was VERY comfy, and I loved the beautiful quilt in the bed. Honestly it felt like a more wonderful time in our country, back to the 60’s but with definitely modern amenities. Thank you for a delightful stay.

The price was more than I wanted to pay but for the height of the fall color season, it was to be expected.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The jacuzzi worked ,but not all the jets. But all and all, it was relaxing . It was different and easier when we arrived, not having to go to the office to get a key. The key pad worked great for arrival and departure . I would recommend friends to stay at sara placid.

Awesome experience

The beds were very comfy and we were able to control the heating/ac to our specs. I loved being able to sit on comfortable couches and just chill with our coffee for an hour before heading out for the day. The place was as clean as could be , from the kitchen to the bath. :)

There were two flights of stairs leading to our apt., so it was a little tricky hauling luggage. Our view of the "lakefront" actually consisted of a view of a rather swampy runoff of the lake. That being said, the beautiful Saranac Lake was directly across the street. :)

It was in walking distance of a restaurant. And near the water. And coffee pods were good.

That I thought we were going to a different hotel. Because of the advertising picture you had up. The place was run down. And we saw no one. Just a paper and email with instructions. No face to face help if was needed.

Unattended check-in. Cleanliness of bathroom. Furniture design.

Absence of rack to hang clothes. Rug squares stained or out of place (recommend vinyl plank). Absence of a sheer curtain behind black out curtains. Canadian goose droppings.

The quality of renovation and the cleanliness. People very responsive on phone. Looks like suites available in separate building. Lovely surroundings with gazebo and pond. Microwave, Frig, Keurig coffee maker

Could not find ice machine. No people or office available on site that I could see. Confusing emails upon booking on how to check in

We love the location and the area! We like the quietness and the friendly staff!

The room cooling system didn’t work. The whole thing would turn on but nothing worked after that. The small fridge NEEDS to be cleaned out, it smelled very badly. We ran out of toilet paper, none in the office and had to call several times to finally get an answer.
