Avion Inn Near LGA Airport, Ascend Hotel Collection

I booked a shuttle service that never showed up and wasn’t notified that service was not available due to the time arrived.

I highly recommend this hotel, the facilities are comfortable and the cleanliness is excellent, I can certify that because I am a very picky cleanliness person. The highlight was the softness and support of the bed, it was perfect for action and rest afterwards. I will definitely be back!

The area leaves a lot to be desired, so walking from the underground through the local streets we were worried about our accommodation - especially after a long-haul flight with two young children. As we walked through the entrance we were greeted without delay, the room was very clean, with great showers, lots of towels lovely toiletries it was an absolute oasis. The beds were very comfy, but we did hear the aeroplanes nearby (expected from a hotel so close to the hotel). In the morning our shuttle was prompt, comfortable, quick and clean. I would be very happy to stay here again should I need to stay for LGA.

Grab and Go breakfast was none existent - only coffee, juice etc. Also we were waiting for our ride in the breakfast area and were told we could not stay there and turned the lights out on us. we ended up going across the street to Dunkin Donuts. Also when I called for the shuttle from the airport they did not answer - I had to call back. And I had previously noted our late arrival when I booked and was sent a confirmation email.

It was very close to LGA and there was a food truck around the corner that was delicious for dinner. The free shuttle to LGA operated starting at 4am, which is what I needed. The staff was friendly and the place was generally clean.

The walls could be better sound proofed, but it wasn’t awful. And it’s not a fancy place, but good enough. I wish the grab and go breakfast started with the shuttle like the text I received said. But they start it later like the website says.

right next to the bus stop, so easy to get into Manhattan. Then free airport shuttle to LaGuardia! Staff is really nice, and very helpful. You can print your boarding pass in the lobby. Wifi was reliable.

nothing negative to say! very convenient. You do have to understand that the rooms are really small and it is right near the end of the LaGuardia runway. We knew that going in, and we'd stay there again.

The check in clerk was gracious and helpful. The morning sack breakfast was good, not great, but good. The shuttle to and from the airport was very convenient.

The coffee was horrible. The seats in the van were rather disgusting. A good steam clean would be a good idea. Muffin in the morning sack bag was dry. Butter pats would be a very nice touch.

The location was good, I was thinking that it looks like they have a shortage of staff and because of covid they were not able to do everyday but every other day. The cleaning staff was very nice.They clean with excellence. They always remain humble. All customers have to do is be nice to them. Some people can be mean but they way they treat me was nice.I rate them an A.The whole staff.Hats off to Mohammed he is one off the best, he knows his job well and he serves with pride plus he is friendly and quick thinking.I like that about him. They can have more amenities but other than that they made me feel at home. All the customer has to do is have a positive attitude and you can enjoy your stay.The staff made it possible for me to be happy there and they deserve tips.If you are not a mean person you would tip them.

Only a few more amenities like gym or maybe pool or more entertainment.I guess they will do so in the future because of covid.

Needed a place to stay by La Guardia due to weather delays. Small hotel, close to airport. Clean, friendly staff. Ice cold water at the front lobby....definitely appreciated after hassles at the airport:)

Location is a bit lacking. Surrounded by autobody shops and garages. Not a lot of food options nearby. Otherwise it served its purpose and gave us a roof over our heads. A bit pricey, but I guess to be expected since it is near the airport
