Boro Hotel

Since I am familiar with Queens I enjoyed the location. Best for people traveling to an event in Long Island City or Astoria, even Roosevelt Island. The hotel was trendy and chic. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms are small as is typical for all NYC hotels. The balcony was nice to have and you can check the temperature outside to decide what to wear in the morning. Nice view of Queens from the 12th floor. We didn't hear a lot of noise from other rooms which was nice. The temperature in the room was easy to control. Coffee & tea was free till 9am. Coffee was very tasty and I bought a delicious croissant to eat with it.

Since it is a small room the toilet does end up being quite close in proximity to the bed which is less than romantic. I don't like pocket doors because they don't block sound well. Hallways are a little bit dark and warehouse like but I guess thats the vibe thats trendy right now?

Everything about the room and stay was great. The view was beautiful and our room was cozy and quite.

We loved the room, the only complaint we had is that there was no mini fridge in the room.

I enjoyed the windows to the room (city view) and the spacious + minimalist design. It made things seem very clean and light-heartening. It was very refreshing to be in a simple and chic room. The shower was very romantic in aesthetic; absolutely loved whoever chose an 'art-deco'/mosaic design for the bathroom.

The electrical lighting control was odd; too many switches that was hard to tell what controlled what. My bed was extremely creaky (but cozy!) which made it noisy to even slightly adjust in my sleep without waking others. A night table on both sides of the bed would be nice as most people bring their own electronic device's charger, my company didn't have a table on their side of the bed which caused their smartphone to rest to the floor each night.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at Boro Hotel. Mary at the front desk was wonderful. The studio was perfect for our anniversary weekend. Largest soaking tub I’ve ever been in and we enjoyed being able to sit out on the balcony. The location is perfect it was very easy to get to different areas of Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The windows provide a ton of light, but the room could use a bit more light when the sun goes down and you have to close the curtains. Our biggest and really only complaint is the bed. Pleaseeee please upgrade the bed. It was terrible ☹️very squeaky, hard and uncomfortable. otherwise this stay is 10/10...

What was excellent was the view from our room on the 6th floor. The Manhattan Skyline was breathtaking, Queensborough Bridge a bonus. The floor length window across the whole room enhanced the great impression. - The staff were helpful and friendly. A restaurant with room service is available (we only used it once). The room was a good size, the bathroom as well. The bed was very comfortable. We had a choice of having the room serviced mornings or afternoons.

A real problem was the sliding door between the room and the bathroom. It was near impossible to close it properly and very hard to open. After we complained, someone did some repair, but that didn't hold up. There was only one chair in the room, and only one side of the bed has some form of light and a bedside table. You had to get up to switch the light off. If you book this hotel you have to be aware that the altogether four subway stations are a good walk away.

The view was amazing and the size of the room was exceptional for New York, especially for the price. Very comfy bed and nice shower. Great food and delicious fresh pizza, very reasonably priced KUDOS for not gouging guests.!

the toilets are terrible, this is the only thing I don't like about this hotel.. the only!!! They don't flush well with 1 or 2 of the water flow buttons. I think it's just the design of the toilets themselves. they hold on to everything to put it bluntly. You have to walk into the shower to turn on the water and set the temperature. Unfortunately, a common mistake in hotels. No Bangles available downstairs.. New York? What????? LOL

We had a great stay at the Boro Hotel. The rooms were clean, and the balcony with a view of Manhattan was absolutely stunning. Within walking distance to the metro and just a few minutes from Manhattan.

The neighborhood in Queens did not feel very safe, especially after dark. There was no fridge, kettle, or tea in the room, and we had to ask reception for these amenities, which was not really comfortable after a long day. The rooftop was closed for the duration of our stay with no prior notice - this was particularly disappointing as the rooftop was a major reason for choosing this hotel.

We’ve stayed there before, the staff is very friendly and everything is clean.

the room sizes were larger then most my hotels in brooklyn. i stayed in the double room and the king room with a balcony.

the rooms need more furniture. in both rooms i was only provided a wooden chair and a table that were located right under the tv. luckily i was alone and not blocking anyones view. it’s also impossible to find parking right away. most of the area is residential but you’re also competing for spots with the vista hotel across the street.

it was comfortable and cozy.

it was a bit cold , I’m not sure if the heater was working properly.
