SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York JFK Airport Jamaica

The hotel is really nice, well maintained, clean, and comfy. Bathroom is really nice and clean, we loved it. Beds are also nice. The Check-out guy at noon was really kind and we truly appreciate this in a city like NY where customer service is in its last days of glory. Overall I highly recommend it if you are going, for instance, to Ashe Stadium to enjoy some Tennis ;)

The Check-in guy, on the other hand, at night, after long hours of driving (which I understand he has no idea of) was right off the bat rude and impersonal. Listen, we do not need a hug at the entrance, but some courtesy and at least pretend that you care a little bit about the people you've got in front of you would be good...

Clean renovated rooms. Good breakfast. Airport shuttle.

Information about shuttle was not clear even I emailed the hotel and asked about rules for pick up from an airport. Apparently, we needed to text driver in order to get picked up. Drivers number is 646-760-4167( for anyone who needs it). Even after we called to the hotel they told us to wait 40 minutes. So, we waited about an hour before shuttle arrived.

About a 5 min walk to E and F lines and also very close to I-678. 45 min metro ride to Lower Manhattan and 35 min metro ride to Citi Field. You can also access JFK easily in this area using metro. They have onsite valet parking. It's $40 per day which we felt was a good value compared to other all day parking prices in the city. They do charge an "in and out" fee $19 so if you can, just leave your car there and use public transportation. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We only stayed one night so we felt the price was a bit high for the area. Not a desirable area. The breakfast itself was just ok. Cereal bar, toast/bagel, previously frozen breakfast sandwiches/quiche, juice, and coffee/tea available. There is a Wendy's, Dunkin' Donuts, and Mc Donalds all within walking distance.

Did the job perfectly for a overnight layover between flights at JFK. Was a great value for a suite in NYC with an airport shuttle. Having a Wendy's right next door is a plus.

There was no communication about when the shuttle would arrive at Federal Circle (shuttle is requested by text message). The shuttle driver heading back to JFK was not so nice about me choosing to wear a mask onboard. Almost $4 for 1 dose of Claritin in the marketplace is a little steep.

Was a great place

Parking sucked is to expensive especially if you left you had to pay s40 dollars again. Should be on e price for 24 hrs coming and going no more than one price

The room was spacious. There were two TVs for the living room area and the bedroom area. I loved that there was a mini refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was nice and clean. Really liked that they had on-site parking. The staff were very patient and really nice and understanding! I loved the hotel/room overall!

I didn't like that we had to call the front desk to open the garage door each time we went in and out. Also, having to call the front desk after we'd park, to have them come open the door to the hotel from the lower level garage (although we never had service - so you'd have to chance it with trying to get a bar or walk to the upper level part of the garage to get service). Parking is also not that good, not enough spaces and the way it's designed isn't suitable. There are technically no handicap spaces but there are blue lines on the ground where you can tell there once was handicap spaces.

Im a flight attendant so I'm use to traveling. As a solo traveler in New cities, safety is IMPORTANT. Of course I want affordable but quality and this hotel gave me both. I would definitely stay again. During the day I walked to the McDonald's across the intersection for a frappe' then back to the Wendy's next to the hotel. At no point did I feel uncomfortable. The side walk was interestingly wide and clean. So it was a nice stroll. I enjoyed the natural light from my window which was street side. I hung out in my room watching Netflix until my event at 8p. I LOVED the room came with a fridge AND microwave. Unfortunately I had a 6a flight the next day. so I was not able to enjoy the free breakfast that came with my stay.

I had such a short visit

We were one of many who had their flights cancelled out of JFK. Delta arranged a hotel for us here for one night, but we had to get the second night arranged and were happy to be able to stay again here.

We wanted to take a bus, but the hotel didn't have any change (we were not local and weren't able to easily get Metro tickets). We had to go to 5 different businesses to be able to get quarters for 2 bus ticket fares. It would have been so much easier if the front desk stocked quarters.

Rooms appear to have been recently refreshed. Good Breakfast

Hotel contracts with 3rd party to provide Transport from Airport to Hotel. The vehicle sent to pick us up was delayed over 2 hours. Upon arrival at hotel, driver was unable to get the baggage door open. Took over 2 hours, a crowbar and hammer to finally open the door and retrieve our luggage.

Location: It is couple minutes walking distance to the subway and train stations. Comfort of the room: The room and the bed was very comfortable in general The breakfast room/lounge: The floor where breakfast is served has a lounge feel to it. I had extra time before the departure of my train, so it was comfortable to sat there with my laptop and coffee to wait for my train. They even have a screen showing train departure times.

There is nothing available in the lobby in the evening. I wanted to drink water, so, I went to the lobby to ask where I can find drinking water, and they said I can buy a little bottle for almost 4 dollars. Maybe, this is common for NYC hotels, I am not sure, but it just felt weird.
