Howard Johnson by Wyndham Saugerties

The check-in process was fast and simple. The front desk staff were friendly and thankfully available at 3am when I had to check out! The room was a decent size, comfortable and clean. I didn't use the bed long, but it was comfortable and more than adequate. And specifically, it is a short drive to Woodstock and has easy access to the local highway back to the Albany airport, so conveniently located. All in all, a pleasant stay.

My only issue was soundproofing, but that wasn't a significant problem. My neighbors were talking quite loud in the middle of the night, and I could somewhat hear them through the walls. It wasn't very loud on my end however, so if they were speaking in normal voices I suspect it would be barely noticeable, but probably still noticeable.

Convenient location, very easy parking, multiple entrances for easily getting to your room.

Our room was not the most clean -- it looked like long-term maintenance (wiping down walls, sweeping in corners) was neglected for some time. Fixtures had a film on them. The room still had a "thank you" envelope from the previous occupants, with the cash removed of course. We had a double queen room, with 1 bed comforter suffering a cigarette burn. Little hairs all over the sink area, big balls of hair in the corners of the washroom. Just overall, not meeting a standard of clean that I would expect, even for the low price to sleep there.

EXCEllELLENNT!!! staff! cleanliness the upmost!!!price and location on the mark for convivence!!! Bed was good with comfy pillows for the needed rest before skiing at bellayre..bonus so close to Woodstock for Nancy's Artisanal Creamery! world reknowned unique flavors and chocolate whipped cream!!!!

My room side of the hotel is on the thru way with more highway sound than probably the opposing side of the hotel.

No breakfast available but I was able to at least get a cup of coffee.

My credit card was declined and when I called my bank to find out what the problem was they said that the expiration date must have been entered incorrectly when I booked. I had the same problem tonight when I checked in at Days Inn (Wurtsboro NY). I scanned the card to make the reservation both times. Please look into

Desk ladies were VERY nice and helpful, and the color palette of the room was very unexpected and fun. The beds were good and the pillows too. Would absolutely stay here again! I accidentally reviews you incorrectly in my last try - got you mixed up with another hotel and I’m sorry!!

Loud people in room next door.

I go by the smell and freshness of the room environment. My room was great.

Pillows, I forgot my home pillow. I wish the property owner would secure a person to open the restaurant. The sign outside advertisers for an open restaurant. Not at all true.

location was excellent there was a big dinner attached that had great food. the indoor pool was very nice. there were towels at the pool and a locker room to change clothes.

alot of the customers there were taking up multiple parking space some parked sideways dont know way??

The facility was clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Fresh ground coffee available all day. Great location to HITS and town. Costs were reasonable.

The facility is a little dated in decor. The pillows are not comfortable.

We stay here whenever we come upstate and love the location and cleanliness of the facility! Lovely indoor pool, and excellent parking. Convenient to Kingston, Phoenicia, Woodstock and all the beautiful mountain views you could possibly want!

There is nothing we DON'T like about staying here! We actually enjoy the highway view and there is no sound issues at all!

Always a pleasant and comfortable stay. Clean, convenient, and affordable. Also, the mini breakfast bar option with coffee is nice.

Nothing they could do but it's still a bit of a drive to most of the Catskill mountains I'd like to ride. Hunter is close enough so it's perfect for just that mountain.
