Shaheen's Adirondack Inn

Very comfortable, newly renovated room. Room was similar to photos on Booking.com, however decor, lighting and colors have changed. A/C unit worked well, and is reasonably quiet. There is a separate heat thermostat on the wall, which also works well. Bathroom/shower all fine. There is very good WIFI (the booking.com description incorrectly stated "No WIFI"). Did not partake of breakfast, so unable to comment on that. As others have stated, we received a text perhaps ~ 1pm on day of arrival asking for us to complete a very brief online registration. Once done, we received another text which provided us with our room number, access code, and WIFI details. This process actually worked amazingly smoothly. For checkout, we just texted a Thank You when we left (a few minutes before 7am) and received a nice reply back almost immediately!

1) As others have stated, the property is under renovation. We had no problem regarding that since they are really trying to make improvements. 2) There is no elevator to the second level. This wasn't a problem for us. I believe there may be some handicapped rooms on the first level. 3) The room was reasonably well lit by the ceiling light, but if you didn't want that on, the room otherwise had limited lighting (one modern small lamp on the desk, one low wattage light on the nightstand). It would be great if the ceiling light was on a dimmer!

This is an interesting property that is managed "on-line" using the internet to register, check in and obtain a key code for the room. The breakfast room had a supply of basic items - Starbucks coffee pods, cereal, danish, yoghurt and toast. The rooms were recently remodelled, clean and comfortable. There is a Shaheen's market just down the street. Take a walk along the lakeside in the Municipal Park Visit the WILD CENTER Dine in the Main Street Cafe

The Key Code device was hard to use for us older folks, but one of the managers showed us how.

All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with whatever we asked about. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had more than sufficient quantities of towels and showering items. Free breakfast provided was much appreciated and good variety of items - although breakfast eating area could have been a bit bigger - I assume maybe small due to renovations.

There was some difficulty getting into the room with the provided door code, but very personal staff assisted us and corrected the issue right away. Also, we would have liked to have been made aware that renovations were being made to the motel and not all entrances were accessible, making it more difficult to get to our 2nd floor room. Could have used more electrical outlets in the room as my spouse had difficulty plugging his laptop in to check on business.

Room was newly renovated with comfy beds and a very nice tv, nice view out the window to the woods. I also liked the check-in procedure where we got an entry code via text and could go right to the room.

Other parts of the property were currently being renovated and were in a slightly "under construction" state but that is understandable.

The property was excellent. No words at how clean and beautiful everything was inside the room. The view from the room was also lovely. Beds were super comfortable. Had a extra large TV and microwave with coffee table. Had a small workspace. Loved staying here totally worth the price. Surroundings were beautiful too just close to Tupper lake.

The surprise that, since photos on this site were published, a hotel group had taken it over and pretty much stripped it of the character those photos showed. Not the staff's fault, however, and we had a lovely, comfortable stay.

We absolutely loved the remodel at Shaheen's! Very tasteful and modern! We loved that the air was on and soft jazz was playing on the radio when we opened the door to our room! Love the new look! And the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable! Very friendly and very helpful! We highly recommend Shaheen's and will definitely return!

We loved the size of the bed & room. Lots of pillows! Convenient to downtown area.

We never did figure out how to find news channels on the TV. I would have preferred plain bagels. Lots of little bugs in bathroom and clover mites on bed. It is a little pricey. I may look around for a cheaper motel next time.

This hotel was our favorite place of the hotels we stayed on this trip. The room was roomy— loved two sinks and actually having towel bars. 😁. ( many motels have none anymore- so throw towels on the floor?? really annoying, especially if staying more than one day) Clean and comfortable and in a beautiful area. Good choice.

Not so much “breakfast” as pre-packaged food that is breakfast-adjacent. Not bad for the price, but not really a what I expected.
