Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Asheboro

The staff were very friendly & I was pleasantly surprised by the free breakfast because it was actually good! You can make your own waffles, they have a few different types of eggs, sausage & bacon, toast, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, milk & coffee. I'm sure I'm probably forgetting some, but it was very nice & they have a sitting area you can eat in down in the lobby area. Our room was clean & the offered housekeeping during your stay if you wanted. The pool & spa is closed but you can use the indoor pool & spa at their sister hotel across the street if you want. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The sofa bed was quite small, only a little wider than a twin. I was expecting a full size. & the pool/spa was closed.

the location was good,

we stayed for two days after the first night ,in the morning asked front desk about refreshing towels was told to leave outside door, we did along with towel notice on door handle. when arrived later in the day we found towels gone but nothing in the room, no towels. had to go down to front desk and asked for towels, also needed to replace the bar soap. This may seem trivial but I did not expect this type of service from a Marriot franchise.

Loved the room. We had a queen bed with a pull out sofa bed. It was separated with a bed room area and a living room. Each had it's own TV. Perfect for our party of three which included my husband and I and our college age son. The staff were super friendly. Had a full breakfast that was wonderful. Close to the NC Zoo and shopping and restaurants. Beds were very comfortable.

Pool was out of service. Wish the exercise room had more than 1 treadmill. Only had a treadmill and 1 elliptical and weights. Both it and pool are very small.

It was a very nice stay generally and was as expected. My major negative was the inability to get Marriott rewards the reason given was my rewards number or customer number was incorrect. This has happened before and I can’t seem to get it straightened out. The other issue was the facility was hard to find especially in the dark. I had to drive by it three times before arriving. It is off the main road behind other hotels and businesses.

cold breakfast! cheese omelet with solid cheese is not tasty!! sign in bathroom stated leave linens on floor,we did. came in no fresh linen. staff informed me they did rooms every other day. ask for fresh linen, staff said “I” could come get it!! she did bring up linen!

Staff was very friendly. Nice, comfy hotel.

Toilet was running upon entering the room. I fixed it temporarily but let the front desk know of the problem so maintenance could get parts to fix. The receptionist was happy to offer us another room if we wanted, which we declined because it really wasn’t a big deal.

Breakfast was OK--waffle maker , hard boiled eggs , cereals. Good coffee. Room was clean and comfy. People working at front desk were pleasant

Located on a main road so it was very difficult,and dangerous to get in and out of with the car. Exiting hotel usually required me to go in direction of traffic and take another 2 side roads to get to a light to put me in the direction I needed to go. Pool was "closed for maintenence issues" but I suspect it was due to covid, and it's an indoor pool. We were allowed to use an outdoor pool of neighbouring hotel, but it was packed with people from all the hotels on the street.

The room was really nice. We had a king sized room with a pull out couch. The layout was a little awkward if we had to get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, but overall, it was a very comfortable experience. The staff was great as well!

The breakfast was a little underwhelming. We ended up going out for breakfast because of it, but we also understand that it was limited due to covid. They have a partnership with the YMCA for swimming facilities, which is fantastic, but nothing is posted, and each time we tried to go with out 3yo, we ended up being too late (the hours are very limited). Again, we understand that this is due to the current circumstances, but it was frustrating.

Checking in was great. It was fast and easy. The front desk clerk was really friendly. The entire staff was really friendly. Everything was extremely clean. The breakfast exceeded my expectations really delicious.

Hostess did not show up in the am to prepare the breakfast. The front desk clerk had to fill in the gap. She did well, but breakfast was not what we thought it would be. The pool was also under maintenance so in order to swim we had to walk or drive across the way to their sister hotel to swim. A bit inconvenient! Overall this hotel was very nice though and the staff that did shkw up for work were extremely nice! We would stay there again in the future.
