AC Hotel Asheville Downtown

The AC Hotel was beautifully designed, clean & very comfortable. We opted for a balcony room & the view from our room was amazing! We also had breakfast every morning at the rooftop restaurant & the buffet was stocked with everything from fresh fruit & baked pastries to made to order eggs, frittatas & meats. Breakfast was available until 11am which was great since we stayed out late every night.

The price was higher than other hotels, but worth it. We would definitely stay again. I recommend getting a balcony room & opting to include breakfast with your stay.

Good breakfast, friendly service. The roof top Capella is fun and quite busy on the weekends. Perfect location to many restaurants in walking distance. Try the Cafe Europe with authentic Vienna cakes and coffee next door.

It’s very noisy at times. It’s on the main drag, next to the fire station and for some reason all the hot rods in town show off revving their engines to ear splitting decibels.

The customer service was amazing on all levels. Everyone was so welcoming from the front desk to the house keeping employees. All smiles and warmth. As someone who works in customer service (bartending to get through school), I know how hard it can be to maintain a positive attitude on your hardest days. If anyone working during our stay was struggling to put on a brave face, you would've never known. The hotel is beautiful and the room was spotless. 100% worth the cost to stay in city center here. We will be back!

Location was great! Walkable to most places. the breakfast on the 9th floor was really good. Lobby was really pretty. the views from our room were beautiful too.

The comforter had a stain on it plus lamp and carpet were dirty. The first day we had breakfast at the 9th floor restaurant, my fiance gave the waitress our card and we paid that way. Well.... we went back for breakfast our last day and she informed us we didn't pay the first day, which was confusing since we signed the check on the first visit! So we paid for both then but I would just be careful when going to the restaurant and payment. When someone gives you a Credit card and signs for it then you should process that!

Almost everything ! The location, in the middle of everything , superb. Car parking in the hotel itself wonderful, breakfast and dinner..which we ate in the rooftop restaurant, just excellent. Great view of the sunset. Best of all, the staff. Steve on the front desk was super helpful , and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. And Jessa, who served us breakfast most mornings, was truly delightful ..hope they are both there when we visit again; it's the people that really make or break a place, and these guys made it . Oh , and talking of people, Alena on the housekeeping staff, went out of her way to ensure our needs were met, and gave us another friendly and super-helpful start to the day!! Cheers!! Alan

what’s not to like? AC is smack dab in the heart of Asheville, everything is within walking distance with the exception of the Biltmore House, which is only a couple miles and one turn to the right. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable with wall to floor glass windows looking over the city. The staff, well, the staff just couldn’t be more accommodating. This wasn’t my first stay at AC and certainly, not my last.

The location was great to shopping and nearby restaurants.

On the day of our departure, we left our room and were pulling our suitcases. The cleaning staff was in the hallway with their big cart of supplies. We politely said 'excuse me' but no effort was made to step aside or for them to move their cart to the side to allow us passage. Usually, hotel staff greets with a smile and says something like "thanks for staying" but that was not the case. It was almost like we were an inconvenience.

Our overall stay was excellent. Amazing service in every area!!!!

Breakfast buffet is overpriced and breakfast off menu very limited. Rooms were great but there were was only 1 hook in bathroom so no place to hang towels and lighting was very low. needs mirror in living area.

The location is perfect for walking almost everywhere, bars, breweries, great food, etc. The staff was super nice and everything was clean!

The rooftop bartenders were not the nicest, not attentive, and acted like they were doing you a favor.

Super location. GREAT rooftop bar, GREAT gin and tonic, UFB friendly staff.

The popularity of the ninth floor bar means clogged elevators but I realize that the building is what it is. No lunch service.
