Renaissance Asheville Downtown Hotel

This property is perfect and the number one reason is because of the employees. Every single employee is attentive, knowledgeable, respectful, informative, and enjoys his/her job. We included the free breakfast - do this! Our wait person in the morning has been an employee at the Renaissance for 22 years. This is unheard of today and she was fabulous. The entire breakfast crew is commendable. The suggestions from our front desk person when we walked in were our favorite places to eat/see. We enjoyed the bartenders in the small bar at night. The pool and whirlpool were mostly empty so we used both every night - fabulous! The fitness center serves anyone’s needs while traveling. Self parking is the easiest I have encountered. it is obvious the employees love this hotel and Asheville and they want visitors to love their city, also.

It is not the newest Renaissance, but it is lovingly cared for.

Location is nearby downtown but yet quiet and away from its noise and hustle bustle. Room is spacious. Indoor pool and parking.

Air condition generator is very loud in the bedroom. Parking gate is not always woking with the room-key. we had to pay everytime and still charged at check out. Our children's room too was charged. So it is better to have your receipt printed and checked before you leave. The breakfast buffet is not that many options for how much its cost!! It's not more than continental option. The potatoes were coated with too much salt!! Fresh fried-egg station only on weekend.

Room had floor-to-ceiling windows and a big cozy bed. We glasses of welcome champagne when we arrived to check in - loved that. Easy to talk to the places we were visiting!

I would have preferred a stylish walk-in shower instead of those old-feeling tubs in the bathroom. Also, paying $22 a day to park when there are two large parking lots seems a little bit absurd.

The location is great and walkable to lots of restaurants and entertainment. The self-parking is secure and convenient. The room is comfortable and the beds are great. I had to make a late evening business call but not in my room (my wife was sleeping). No problem, the front desk attendant directed me to a quiet area by the meeting rooms where I would not disturb anyone, thanks!

The breakfast was only available as a buffet. We don't eat that much for breakfast but after complaining we were able to buy some eggs and toast, which was great, thanks again. However, would it not be better to forget about the buffet (expensive for the hotel to set up) and just offer a limited menu?

Loved the hotel's location and the staff was amazing.

Still no room service. No to go boxes in the restaurant. I had to work on zoom from my room. would have been nice to have room service. I also was late leaving room and missed housekeeping. They left a note under my door stating to call them when ready for service. I called housekeeping when I was finally leaving my room but they never came. Other than those two things its a very nice hotel.

Older hotel, but it's a great location. Staff are mostly very friendly. Generally, I have no complaints with stay, and I have stayed there many times.

Restaurant is consistently horrible. We don't eat there anymore, even if breakfast comes with room at no additional costs. With a hotel of this size, one would think there would be more of an effort to improve this.

Everything was great! We enjoyed the location, the hotel, the staff, the food, and the fact that it was pet friendly! The hotel was very clean in all areas. We loved that it was walking distance to lots of restaurants and venues. There were several areas in the hotel to sit down and relax.

Great location to downtown! Comfy rooms and beds. Everyone was very friendly and the lady who checked us in Gabe great recommendations for food places we could walk to.

There was a dog in the room mext to us that was barking. Not the hotels fault, but would have liked a room not on the dog floor. Other then that, it was a good stay.

The location was perfect for exploring downtown Asheville. The staff were very nice, in particular a valet named Jacob who made my two children's day when he gave them each a toy.

The beds were quite uncomfortable. I also would have liked to see some of the local breweries on tap in the hotel bar since breweries are such a big deal in Asheville. While still a nice hotel, it felt like it could do with a little bit of an update.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was exceptional along with being there for the 4th of JULY and actually viewing the fireworks from the room was great!

I wish the breakfast was included in the room price! Also I wasn't happy with the set up for parking during the fourth of July giving a paper to put on windshield and still getting a ticket was not cool at all.
