Hampton Inn & Suites Outer Banks/Corolla

I was surprised by the outdoor pool, that it was large, with a fun pool nearby to float in, and a hot tub, all outdoors. The hotel shaded 2/3 of the pool in the 88-90 degree heat. I didn't need sunblock i knew there was an indoor pool and walkway to the beach and ocean. Breakfast changed a bit daily and was very good. Hotel staff took care of folks departing early with sack breakfasts. Location was great. We stayed in Corolla and Duck during our stay and loved the area. Enjoyed the Wild Horse Adventure Tour.

Lights in displays were burned out. We wanted to read about display but it was too dim.

Proximity to the beach, breakfast choices, evening cookies, location of pet area was convenient but out of way so as not to disturb others. We loved the Corolla area after seeing how crowded Duck and Nags Head were. The Inn is in a great location.

Failure to provide requested housekeeping, we did not remove out pet sign, although we had left and I told staff person we were leaving, and the pet was with us. I guess we were supposed to know to remove the sign, so maybe our fault, but when we returned, staff was too busy at that point to do requested cleaning. Also was disappointed that we could not be provided help with getting reservations at a Hampton Inn near Columbia SC for August 11, especially since internet for guests is not secured and I had to enter a credit card number on an unsecured internet.

we loved how friendly and sweet the staff were. always willing to help if there was an issue. this is our second year in a row staying at this hotel and I’m positive it won’t be our last!

It was a great relaxing week for us. We have been through a lot over a long time so the view and just getting away to celebrate our Anniversary was a blessing. It was very peaceful and everyone was helpful and friendly. We even talk to several other guests staying there and they were very friendly as well.

The TV in our room had something wrong with it there were spots in the screen and it made it very hard to watch. The outside rail was very lose as well. Very concerned with that especially with children. Walk way too the beach needs to be cleaned off. My husband has a hard time walking and it was hard for him to get to the beach.

The breakfast and all the little details made the experience a pleasant delight. Always hot coffee/tea available, fresh warm chocolate chip cookies filled the foyer with warmth and a special touch. The wonderful host/hostess from the dining room to the hallways always taking care of the cleanliness. Amazing! With much gratitude to all.

I liked the size of the room, and the fact that the room was ADA accessible. The shower was very good, although the seat (I have to sit down) was uncomfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, and the lady keeping everything supplied in the kitchen area was very nice and very helpful. She showed me how to operate the waffle maker, in fact making my first waffles for me. I think she saw me struggling with the directions (I forgot my reading glasses in the room). She was a very nice person, though, and I hope you can pass my thanks at her hospitality along to her.

The only thing i didn't like, and this is totally my fault, is that I forgot my handicap placard. Therefore, as the hotel grew more crowded toward the end of the week (my stay began with the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, through that Saturday) we had to park our car into the second tier of the parking lot.

The location and the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Lisa and Helen who were extremely helpful. Helen was there every day of our stay and was always so kind & again super helpful. We even knew each other by name and will remember each other!

We noticed a few food crumbs, such as pretzels and blueberries , and a previous guests earring under the couch. The railing on our balcony was also very wobbly. It was obviously leaning over as were other railings around us. Very unsafe with minimum support.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable and nice size . Enjoyed the balcony. The breakfast each day was good. Such a variety for all diets. Eggs, a meat , potatoes , waffles, fruit, yogurt snd cereal’s. The pool area was nice. They keep it nice and clean. The staff was friendly.

Nothing to do with the property. Another guest put laundry in to wash and left all morning. So you couldn’t do laundry. 1 machine was out order. Not a big deal actually laundry is free so that was nice.

The staff was amazing! Everything from checking in and out, to purchasing a late night snack, they were so kind and professional! The location was wonderful, plenty of parking, and right over the dune was the ocean! Breakfast was hot and delicious, with lots to choose from! Our daughter loved the indoor pool and all the new friends she was able to meet! I loved that towels and items were left each day for us, and we didn't have to ask. That was a wonderful surprise!

We honestly have no complaints. Would definitely stay again!

The breakfast was very good. The room was nice however, there were some places in the bathroom that could have been cleaned a bit better as well as some spots that looked to be worn and maybe needed replacing or updating. The pools and beach access were great!

The bathroom in our room could have been cleaned a little better. There was hair left in the tub/shower and on the bathroom floor. There were also some spots that looked to be a bit worn and could maybe use some replacing or updating. I understand our stay was during the summer months however, we only stayed for two weekday nights, and I felt the price was high for weekday pricing.
