Hampton Inn Raleigh Clayton I-40 Garner

We had to be in this particular area for a function. The Hampton Inn met our needs. Check-in was quick, and the desk workers were friendly and efficient. The room was extremely clean, had lots of towels, with attached shampoo, conditioner, and lotion dispensers. The beds were comfortable with four pillows each. My only complaint was the air conditioner. It was the old type that cycles off and on and is very disturbing. That is my only complaint. There were many restaurants in the area, and I would recommend this hotel to any travelers to Clayton, NC.

I woke up Sunday morning to find out I had been charged $151.46 for an entire nights stay again. When I went to the front desk to work it out Barbara was extremely helpful. But when she went to fix it, I was charged AGAIN! So now I have a total of $624!!!! taken out of my account INSTEAD of $312 for my stay. Leaving me with ZERO money to get back to Florida. I don't understand why the money can be taken out IMMEDIATELY but takes 5-7 days to return to my bank account. Apparently the computer did a night audit and charged me again.

I was only in town for the day and needed a clean comfortable place to spend the night that was also pet friendly. This Hampton Inn was just what I was looking for.

There was no microwave in the room. There were no vending machines either, snacks and cold drinks were available in the lobby. The cost could be charged to your room for convenience or you can pay in cash.

The staff was very friendly, checking in and out was such a breeze. Everyone greeted us with a smile and was very welcoming. The breakfast was always hot and fresh. LeighAnn was pleasant and made sure we had everything that we needed to enjoy our breakfast.

There's some major road construction going on in that area, so there were times the traffic got backed up and was at a stand still, but its no fault to the hotel.

the rooms are big, the bathrooms are clean, the shower is comfortably hot, and my room was never cold unless I wanted it to be. the staff was always helpful and friendly!

The only thing that might have made my stay better is having a microwave in the room. There is a huge refrigerator and lots of storage space.

was there for one night for a wedding in town. very clean throughout. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. amenities were great. I felt very safe there. didn’t have the hot breakfast but it smelled amazing as I was walking out.

nothing. All good! If I have to be totally nitpicky, the hand wipes weren’t available to clean up the stuff in the gym. but that was clearly a previous user error.. I was amazingly stoked I could use the facility!

Front desk clerk Barb was fantastic - super friendly and knowledgeable & treated you like you’re family, not just another customer. The cleaning staff was amazing. The rooms smelled hospital clean and had stickers on the doors indicating no one has entered since cleaning. I appreciated the breakfast staff as well, they made our food to order and in a timely/safe manner. Never once did I worry or hesitate regarding covid safety or any other issues. I liked that it was so close to my mom’s house who we came to visit for Christmas. I liked that there was free parking and breakfast, although we didn’t have any.

The property is quite small and in a Covid era didn’t allow for the social distancing that I still prefer. The elevators, lobby and breakfast area are all cramped and I wouldn’t have felt comfortable lingering in those areas.

The room has a mini fridge that worked well. That helped to preserve freshness of some unconsumed fruits and juices from our trip.

I would give better ratings if the bathroom don’t smell. When we first checked into the room, the bathroom had no smell. After first flush when we came back to rest after dinner, the toilet started to smell. We couldn’t see or find anything suspicious that caused the smell. We’re too tired to ask for another room since it was only just an overnight stay before going on the road. My wife just sprayed some sanitizer trying to cover the smell.

Staff were great. Breakfast was awesome. Great selection. Room was nice and smelled good.

Faucet in bathroom is in a rediculus spot. We could barely get our hands under it!
