Best Western Plus Goldsboro

The staff was very nice and polite. They had no issues replacing stuff when I asked for replacements. The beds were nicely set. The mini fridge and microwave was nice. The room was clean most of the way but bathroom was not.

When I got to my room it wasn't clean. There was a long black hair on the wall. There was also hair stuck in one of my towels. The lights for the bathroom were all off kelter (not straight). The handle on the inside of the closet was held on by sticky tape. The mirror on the wall was loose. There was hair here and there in the tub. Fan didn't work in the bathroom. Pretty sure there may be bare min. Mildew growing in shower under the crevices where there are crevices. AC would randomly turn up on its own during the day. I'd walk in and my floor would feel damp and the room was humid and warm. Alarm clock was broken. Phone didn't work. Drawer would stick in center bedside table. Unsure if nose tissues were new or not.

The location was great, the room was very clean, cozy and comfortable. Most of my dealings were with Rachel and she was just the absolute sweetest. I don't care what we needed, she made it happen. Hotel was booked solid, yet it was one of the most quietest and peaceful stays we have ever had anywhere.

Upon arrival we noticed that our coffee maker and ice bucket were set up in the bathroom. That was very unacceptable for me, so we moved the items into the main area and all was well.

Shout out to Vanessa immediately. She was so friendly and helpful to us. Even though I made a reservation the were sold out. This has happened a few times with booking. She saw immediately and found a double to put us in. Went and cleaned it herself (good job by the way) and ran the whole show by herself. Kudos to her! Also I loved the inside of the hotel as soon as you walk in clean smelled good high ceilings and nice Decor. Side note cleanliness grade of eating area was 98-99. Super hard to come buy. Beds again a big firmer than I like but better than most. No breakfast was served due to covid again but the did have waffles which were good. No decafe coffee and things were not set out in a timely manner that morning like creamer but that’s not a deal breaker. Sheetz is across parking lot and that did the job

I feel the value of the room was a little much. $200 a night in addition my wife loved the hot tub in room thou was dirty and had to clean before using. Breakfast was excellent. Last thing the back door wouldn’t open with our room key so has to walk around to front to get in.

The breakfast was excellent! Staff was always smiling and courteous saying hello as you passed by. I loved that they had a gym as well. Parking lot was clean and well lit :)

The elevator door needs some lubrication. It appears to struggled opening and closing doors while going to the 5th floor.

Perfect location for our needs, it was clean and comfortable.

There was a bit of noise while they were doing some minor construction. Not ideal, but it couldn’t be avoided while they upgrading the facilities.

Customer service from the staff. Tanya and Rachel very nice and professional. The cooks (breakfast was amazing) and the clean up staff was so nice and friendly. Location of the Hotel was near everything. My daughter and I had an amazing time. Thank you for everything!!

Zero pool furniture, but I assume they had a valid reason. They sent us next door to Hampton Inn, a very short walk.

Nice clean rooms. comfortable beds. Was there for the night only. Even though the hotel was full, it was quiet.

lobby smelled like strong cigarette smoke and the bathroom in our room had a strong cigarette smoke smell coming through the vent.

The room was pleasant and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

During summer there needs to be umbrellas by the pool for those watching their children. The sun is very intense over July and August.
