Proximity Hotel

Everything…we checked in because the air conditioning at home stopped working. The day had been long and taxing. Upon arrival we were greeted by pleasant staff and quickly checked in. The room was clean and cool/cold. The restaurant was open until 10pm we were able to get room service and relax. Amazing!!!

I don’t like putting trays/dishes from room service outside on the floor. I didn’t like the idea of staff bending down to get those things off the floor, seems demeaning. Small carts beside the door or collapsible carts stashed inside the closet of rooms for this purpose, maybe?. That is my only complaint. I will definitely be back!

I travel to Greensboro often for swim meets. This is the only place I will stay. This and the O'Henry. They are safe, conveniently located and the staff is always lovely. I love the Proximity because they have the best in room coffee ever! Speaking of rooms, they are spacious and very comfortable. Print Works Bistro is delicious for either a sit down meal or room service.

Not their fault, but the first room our neighbors were having quite a good time. Ahem. Quite a good time. Like so good I thought I was being punked. It was SO LOUD. Keep in mind Proximity has really heavy doors and concrete like walls. So it must have been one heck of a romp. Being there with my kid, I went and asked if we could switch rooms and they were immediately accommodating. I have stayed here many times and this was our first time having this happen.

I was here before always for a photo shoot, but I never actually stayed at the hotel so enjoying the amenities was great 

The only thing I didn’t like about the property is the fact that my door kept getting knocked on in the morning by two different housekeepers. As a front desk supervisor for Marriott hotel, we don’t knock on the doors of guests until close to check out time. So I didn’t like the fact that it was knocked twice before 10 AM. 

Decor, staff, location, food. everything!

The ONLY thing I don’t like about this hotel and I stay here often, is that the lights are controlled by one main switch, for room and bathroom. my daughter wakes up super early to get ready for her swim meets and to take a shower she effectively has to turn ALL the lights on. it’s weird. But I just wear a sleep mask and problem solved.

The whole aesthetic from the entry down to the rooms and the decor. I love a hotel that had a great tub and they have the absolute deepest spa tub and I absolutely loved it. Staff was so courteous to my needs even though i was there for one night. My husband and I will definitely be back

They definitely should into having a small starbucks on property

the hotel lobby, the patio at the lower level lobby, the Resturant had charming vibes to it inside and outside. the restaurants menu which is the same as the room service was perfect and reasonably priced the dessert menu was awesome the rooms were perfectly designed.. the location of the hotel was good and a nice shopping center was close

just add chamomile tea bags to the nice tea collection at the coffee bar

The property is beautiful! The rooms are well maintained and lack nothing. Though we didn’t have an opportunity to eat on the premises, the menu looked delicious.

The walls could be a bit more sound proof. Our romantic evening was disrupted, and Regina was quite pleasant and prompt in changing our room.

The location is convenient, close to shopping centers, food, etc. The hotel staff was friendly and polite. No hassle check in/out. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, clean linens/towels. The bathroom was clean, spacious, nice walk in shower. Nice size tv, mirrors, the large windows with drapes gave the room a nice feel. The room had all amenities needed. Didn’t hear any commotion, no smoke smells, etc., it had an classy atmosphere.

The room could use some modern updates especially for the price you pay. The shower was nice but it would be better with a detachable shower hose, more water pressure and with more accurate timing on the water temperature, it was difficult to adjust the temp, it seemed to have a delay.

The only thing that kept me from giving it a top rating was that every blackout curtain had stains on them, particularly in the bathroom. These need to be changed out.

The facilities are excellent - so beautiful and tastefully decorated . The staff is always exceptional . it is our favorite place to stay when visiting . The hotel restaurant , Printworks , never disappoints !
