Crowne Plaza Hotel Hickory, an IHG Hotel

Beds were so comfy! Our room was on bottom floor and we luckily had one that had sliding glass doors that opened right next to pool area, so kids loved that! AC worked great, staff was so pleasant (thank you Andy/Anissa(sp?)) The bath gel/lotion they provide smells AMAZING! Location was right off interstate 40, so a breeze to get to...price was great! Will def book again!

Didn't like that they charge $10/person for breakfast. We brought some food with us for the morning, but this was only reason I didn't give this place a 10, because it does make it easier with kids to be able to go get hot breakfast from lobby and it be included.

The location was perfect. The facility was nice. The bartender was very nice as well as the breakfast server. The bed was very comfortable!

Omg, the toilet. Why was it so close to the floor. I have NEVER seen a toilet so short. Kindly install normal size toilets that don't require the user to perform a full squat just to use the bathroom. If you can't install taller toilets, kindly place a rail on the wall to provide assistance for sitting on the toilet.

Location is convenient. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Pool and patio were very nice except sauna was under repair. Price was very fair. Staff was very helpful, friendly, and courteous.

Breakfast brunch was not available because not enough people had it the day before. What? First room had a damp area on carpet so had to get moved to a different room.

This is an older hotel that has been maintained very well. Some of the decor is so nice, especially the water feature in the lounge area. There is plenty of seating. The place is so clean you could eat off the floors. This was the quietest hotel I have ever been in so resting is easy in the comfortable bed. I love the beautiful ceilings made of a shiny tile. I wish there was an outdoor pool but the inside pool is nice. I would definitely stay here again if I travel here in the future!

The bureau has drawers but also doors covering the small fridge and microwave. One of the doors wouldn’t stay shut no matter how much I tried. It would open and block your path. The room door was old and a little difficult to open, especially if you were carrying items in the room. I had trouble with the toilet flushing but I plan to inform the manager…the chain came off and I would have to remove the tank lid several times so I could flush it. The room was dated as far as decor. The small sofa was nice but didn’t fit well we’re it was set. These are minor things that can be fixed easily.

This was our 4th or 5th visit to this hotel, we stay here when we visit my husband's family. It's convenient and friendly. The ladies in the restaurant make you feel like family.

An outdoor pool would be nice, but it would just be nice certainly not a deciding factor.

Pool was nice and clean and warm. My daughter had a great time swimming. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Near a lot of restaurants. Reception was nice. Place was pretty and decorated for Christmas 🎄

Windows facing the inside halls. Some weird guy kept his curtains open so my kid could see him laying almost naked in his bed. Creaper. Not really the hotels fault but just feel like I shouldn't be able to see in people's rooms as I walk down the hall.

Really enjoyed our stay here at the Hickory, NC Crowne Plaza Hotel. Our children were able to play in the pool and workout in the exercise room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

I wish breakfast were available for free to those who stayed.

The staff was pleasant and efficient. Hotel is located close to many restaurants, retail stores and the Hickory convention center. Parking was plentiful.

The hotel was designed in the 70's or 80's and some of the first floor rooms, including the one in which I stayed, have windows which look directly into the lounge/bar area. This also means that other guests can look directly into the rooms surrounding the lounge/bar. Additionally, I expect a higher level of cleanliness from the Crowne Plaza. The carpets in the hall way and the room could use a good deep cleaning.

The location was great and very close to shopping and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful and i felt very safe. The rooms were clean and very spacious, and the room was at a great temperature when i entered the room.

The beds were so hard that i could not sleep and when getting up i was so sore and stiff. 2 days later i am still a little sore and stiff. Just know that if you can make sure that you lay a quilt or something to give you a little softness. If i am driving through here again i will remember to pack one of my small down comforters.

The cook and the server were not on the same sheet of music.It was obvious.The server brought out part of the Breakfast meal and we had to wait for the sausage.By then the waffle was cold.

Train the breakfast cook and the server.
