Fairfield Inn & Suites Morganton Historic Downtown

This hotel is located in the heart of Morganton. We fell in love with the town and this lovely modern friendly hotel was icing on the cake. I left a briefcase full of checkbooks and jewelry. They returned them to me by courier completely in tact. Fan and grateful forever

Would like to have picked up on the fact it was dogs only. But would have missed this lovely experience. Thought I might have to strangle my 18 yr old cat!! Ha ha

The breakfast was delicious each day we were there. But the choices of cereal was a little off, because all of it contained high amounts of sugar. Maybe add some low sugar cereal and low sugar yogurt. Help us diabetics stay on our diets.

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the hallway upstairs needed vacuumed and the elevator floors were dirty with spills and foot prints going through it.

very pretty and clean the staff was so friendly and helpful. the bar was nice and you could also get coffee and filtered water anytime during the day. really enjoyed the pool.

the breakfast wasn’t good and not a lot of choices. the two side locked doors for safety wouldn’t close all the way sometimes. two different occasions we would come in those doors instead of using lobby entrance and door wouldn’t be shut to where you had to use your key for entry.

Very clean and comfortable with modern furnishings. Nice curtains that close. Having both a microwave and fridge in the room. My friend loved the hairdryer so much she wanted to buy it. Cozy beds with nice lighting. Lovely patio out front to enjoy relaxing with friends. A nice cocktail bar. The pool, although small, was very relaxing—I had it all to myself. We used the guest laundry which was handy. A “dog friendly” hotel. Nice breakfast beyond bagels and muffins. Coffee available throughout the day. There was a small store for snacks. In the back, there was a well-lit, free parking lot for easy access. Friendly staff willing to assist you. Great location downtown within walking distance to breweries, boutique shops, coffee shop/bookstore, restaurants and drugstore and banks.

The crazy chair in the bedroom. I kept tripping over it. No mirror you could sit down at to put your makeup on. Because of Covid, they weren’t daily “servicing” the room. We requested they refresh it daily. They didn’t have enough fresh fruit, only one bowl and when it was finished too bad I’d you missed it.

Stayed here for our wedding night. So pleased with how nice the room was for the price and how clean the place was. I was anxious about booking a room for my new wife and hoping it was decent enough for the occasion. They blew me away. It was so excellent I would stay there often if it wasn't so close to home. I hope I have an excuse to stay there again soon.

Breakfast was fine. Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the layout of the room, the ease of connecting to wifi, and the location of the hotel was amazing!

My room was not cleaned ( I stayed two nights). I had hung up my towels for reuse, and i did n't care about the bed being made, BUT no one came to check on the necessaries. I had one tissue in the box when I checked in and assumed that I would get a new box the next day. I had one roll of toilet paper, and was almost out when I left. Yes, I could have called, but was gone the first day there from 7:30 am to after 4 and I think there was time to check on things. That and elephant man above me who banged constantly until after 3 am ( which y'all cannot help), the visit was great.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious. The beds/pillows are very comfortable and cozy. The lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays.

Our room was very close to a side door going outside to the dog walk which was great since we had our dog but the door opening/closing constantly was extremely loud. Also, I could hear people snoring through the walls and people stomping very loud on the floor above us. Also did not enjoy the $75 pet fee.

The breakfast was meh, although the scones were pretty good. The woman maintaining the breakfast area worked hard to keep things stocked and clean. I don’t remember the name of the woman who checked us in but she was quite personable and we laughed and had an enjoyable check in experience. The free beer voucher was a nice surprise!

The eggs were watery and it would have been nice to be able to warm up the scones.

Clean, quiet and staff very professional. Very close to restaurants, stores and entertainment.

I enjoy a beautiful mountain view but this was suitable for the occasion. Would have liked the pool to be open, but understandable why it wasn't at this time.
