Fairfield Inn Charlotte Mooresville Lake Norman

This was a very clean hotel. It actually smelled new. The carpet and paint was very clean looking. The room was laid out nicely. We did over sleep and didn’t make it to breakfast. When we checked out, it did smell great in the lobby from it.

This is just my personal preference…the pillows are SUPER soft. You lay your head in them and you go all the way down to the mattress. I did have a hard time sleeping because of this. If you don’t like soft pillows, bring your own. Other than that, nothing to complain about!!

The shower was perfect. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The breakfast attendant was very friendly. Donna at the front desk gave some information on the pros and cons of third party booking and if I book directly with the hotel, I can use my veterans discount.

I was disappointed that I didn't have a microwave in the room. The room was smaller than expected. I would have liked a larger desk/work space and place to put my things.

Staff is very courteous and helpful. Location is great, easy to get to. Lots of places right there.

Unfortunately, there was a basketball tournament near by and a bunch of kids were there. They were very loud late at night and I had to call the front desk at least 3 times. They did there best at quieting them and did comp some money for our stay. Booking.com supposedly booked us a king room with pull out sofa, we had our son with us. The hotel did not have that. We walked into a king room, just the king bed, no sofa. The front was very helpful and apologized (really not there fault). They were able to get us a roll away bed.

The young lady at check-in was very nice, welcoming, and efficient! The room was clean and the bed and bedding was cozy. Breakfast had many good choices and the lady in charge of breakfast greeted us good morning with a smile and wished us a safe trip.

There’s nothing I would complain about. We live in FL so we are used to many different critters. There was one smallish brown roach on the bath mat on the bathroom floor at 5:30 in the morning. I was able to easily pick him up with tissue and flush him away. Some guests may be a bit squeamish about this type of situation so I hope you do have/I assume you have regular extermination service, which I know isn’t always 100% effective.

Convenient to the places that we going to see. Close to stores. Have felt safe every time we have stayed here.

The property is great. No issues. Suggest maybe installing a pool heater for use later in the season. Water was too cold to swim/relax in.

Location, clean rooms, good sizes, bathroom, and room. Breakfast ok, the employees friendly and helpful.

The hotel is near to a freeway and a main road, noise, especially at night. A double windows update will fix that inconvenient.

The location was directly off of the highway. There were many stores gas stations Restaurants Takeout Drive Thru fast food places. etc.

i am unfortunately a smoker. maybe consider setting up a table with chars in a shaded area close to the building so others that smoke Do not sit on a step right at the door. I really did not want to irritate any of the people coming and going.

Breakfast was very nice and kept full. Plenty of options. Always coffee in the lobby and fruit, cookies and a decanter full of lemonade. Hotel was clean. All staff were very friendly from desk, to cleaning, to maintenance. Pool was nice.

Location, cleanliness, and up to date decor

Noisy doors slamming. There has to be a way that the doors can be altered to avoid the slamming sound of people leaving their rooms that affects someone inside their own room.

Breakfast was okay. I am not a fan of instant sandwiches, etc. and I try to eat healthy wherever I go. I realize the items have to be served differently because of COVID so that is not something the hotel could have improved.

The time was rather short and it would have been better if the breakfast hour was until 10:00 AM instead of 9:00 AM. It would have been more convenient to have had 2 microwaves instead of just one since most of the bagged sandwiches had to be heated up.
