Hampton Inn Roanoke Rapids

We arrived past midnight with a sleeping toddler after a long drive. Check in was fast and easy and the staff at the front desk were very friendly. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was good - lots of options (waffles, toast, eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, biscuits and gravy etc). It's in a really convenient location right off I95 and we'd definitely stay here again on future road trips. It's obviously not a 5* hotel, but it's great for a quick stop over and the price.

The location for the hotel was just what we needed - right off the highway as a stop on our trip further south. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a hiccup with an accommodation expectation, but someone at the front desk personally helped us sort that out right away so our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was varied and delicious and the staff there was also very helpful and friendly. The WiFi was secured with name and room number and an email verification which was above and beyond what we expected for free internet at a hotel, so bonus for that! There are a good variety of eating selections nearby. We ordered from a local pizza place and enjoyed that in our hotel room. Traffic noise near the freeway is to be expected, but I didn't find it overly noisy and it didn't affect our sleep. Overall a really nice stay.

Parking was a bit of a problem. There two other hotels next to this one, so parking in the area was very full. A miscommunication on the phone with someone at the hotel led us to believe we could have a cot for our youngest in our reserved room, but at check-in it turned out we couldn't due to fire safety, which was a little frustrating. We made it work, but knowing that in advance would have made me choose a different room. The TV cable selections were also very limited. The pool is outdoors so keep that in mind if you'd like to use the pool.

The kids loved the size and did cart wheels. In the girl's room with the grandma, the 2 queen bed and with the sofa couch in room. My room was comfortable and decent for me, my 2 boys to sleep in the same bed as me in a king size. My boys are 12 and 9. My sister was comfortable in her sofa bed, and everything was ready for our arrival of at least 40 min. Their pool was ready and available. And breakfast was delicious.

What was there not to like. Everything was as I wanted. No complains.

Breakfast was very nice, and Rose was incredible. Such a lovely woman making sure that every guest had everything they needed.

I travel from Florida and have stayed here before. We bring our dog with us for holidays, and I think 50.00 for the night for a fully trained standard poodle is excessive. I pay that as a daily boarding fee. I received an email in response to a message sent via booking.com stating there would be no additional charge. A friend stayed at the Holiday Inn in Roanoke Rapids on the same day with her dog with no pet fee.

We have never met such friendly staff , Harold checked us in and he was so sincerely nice and welcoming. Every staff member across the hotel were exceptionally nice and great at their job . Breakfast was fantastic and we loved the pool . Beds so comfy too !

The interior of the hotel/rooms doesnt match up with how wonderful the staff are . The decor is tired and old fashioned . Rooms were very hot even with AC( really noisy AC)

The breakfast was not too great because the eggs were ice cold and the sausages were hit or miss, meaning some were completely overcooked. The rest was good but most people are going for the hot food so that needs improvement.

The staff and the cleanliness of the hotel were impeccable. My only complaint about the facilities is that the fitness center should have been opened much earlier.

I loved the hotel facilities, cleanliness, and complimentary breakfast. The breakfast had good variety. The rooms had microwave and refrigerator. The pool was clean and had fresh towels everyday. Also, the guest laundry and business center was available. Our request for extra towels and washcloths was no problem.

I did not like that we needed to switch rooms because our pull out sofa bed was broken and we needed to use it. Thankfully the guest services attendant made it possible to switch us to a room right next door which was two queens!

Location was great for us on our roadtrip being right next to a junction of the I95 and surrounded by restaurants to recharge after a long drive !! The hotel is very modern, clean and comfortable with super friendly staff that make you feel very welcome. The breakfast was a real treat, served in the lobby by again extremely friendly staff - many thanks !!

Nothing really, this hotel was a delight and perfect for our stay !!

this is a well-managed property. Personnel were friendly and knowledgeable. Special shoutout to Rose, who made a waffle for me--she is an asset to the property. In general, a nice breakfast display. good grab bars in shower.

Like many older properties, the air conditioning makes some noise when it goes on.

Harold at the front desk was terrific and so helpful and professional. I hope you give him extra recognition for all the help he gave me with the reservation and service during my stay.

The prepared food was not appealing. Needed more fresh fruit options like bananas. Glad you had hard boiled eggs.
