Hampton Inn Emporia

It was what we've come to expect at a Hampton Inn hotel. Two beds, no visible bed bugs. We were able to check in late when our drive took a bit longer than expected. Breakfast items ran out before we could get what we were looking for but it was fine. I'm sure if we had asked they'd have replaced what was out, but we were trying to get back on the road.

We were placed on a "Dog Floor" and the commotion of other dogs set ours off all morning starting at 6 a.m. I understand why they'd put the dogs all together, but it made sleeping past then a little difficult. The rolling door on the bathroom/closet does not offer much in terms of privacy and is quite heavy to roll. I'd rather no door on the closet and a functioning door on the bathroom.

What I didn't like about this is booking.com booked a duplicate reservation, For a month I have been trying to get a refund. I have called 6 times and was told something different each time. Both Raj and Wjun promised they would contact the hotel and then would issue my refund. It has still not happened, Booking.com made a mistake and not I am out $148.88 I will never use you booking again.

Staff was helpful, room was clean and comfortable.

When my bill came in on visa there was a charge for extras of ($17 plus) dollars which I did not use or receive. I called the front desk when I saw my visa bill and they told me it was in error and I would see a credit in two to three days. It has been over a month and I have seen nothing. great location , easy access, very knowledgeable and friendly staff Miss Precious . parking was good as well . the breakfast station was well stocked and very clean. the room was double Queen, very clean & quiet bed was very comfortable. Well managed property.

I’m not happy about the leaving trash out side of your door . I’m not sure if this is policy , but I did stay for 3 days 2 night and staff did not enter my room to empty to perform any up keep. I’m not sure if this is due to COVID or just policy . I haven’t travelled in quite some time but , I think it definitely takes away from the beauty and cleanliness with garbage piled outside of room doors. Tacky

One ice machine was working so i had to go yo the 4th floor. I was told that this facility was just redone but did not look like it to me. Floors in bathroom missing moldings and moldings not aligned correct. Toilet paper dispenser under sink in a strange place. But room was very nice and i enjoyed my stay. The breakfast fas amazing.

Location, easy on and off I95. Breakfast was great, more than adequate. Liked the chrispy bacon. Beds very comfortable, Slept well. Very decorative modern look and feel for the room and for the hotel.

That shower was horrible. The TV did not work. After trying, made call to desk and batteries needed to be replaced on the remote. The bedside alarm clock woke us up at 6 am. Was this a joke? We did not set it and couldn't figure how to shut off!

The staff was exceptional. Very polite and inviting. If we needed anything, they were quick to help. Housekeeping was very professional.

The parking was limited due to numerous vehicles with trailers taking up the majority of the available spaces by parking sideways without the consideration of others.

Mold in the bathroom and Booking.com double booked us, you cancelled but did not send the needed email to Booking.com, even after talking with Patricia both in person and on the telephone. So due to your lack of cooperation we are out $148.88

The hotel was clean the staff was very friendly.

The pool was closed and they did not tell us at check in or put a sign on the door until after I called them to check. We had waited to start the rest of the trip after time in the pool. Our children were disappointed.

Entrance door to room was very squeaky. Little items such as soap holder in shower was removed but pieces were still there. Hole under the sink not being patched. For everything else being good, I felt these issues were very tacky.
