Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Riverside

the room was above the level of what I expected for the price I paid. I expected a two star room for the price I paid. Yay!

i liked how easy it was to check in, the price was great for what was offered. It was very clean. & I had every thing a big hotel offers in my room at Mrcro. I was a good stay.

Well my only complaint was that the water was luke warm when I took a shower. Don't know if that came from taking it late in the morning or ran out of hot water. But that didn't stop this from being a good tripl

I liked the security of the place and the lady and gentlemen who had manned the front desk... the parking lot is a little small but very serviceable. Had forgotten my charger box at home it was so convenient that they have USB ports in the wall for you. Very nice place though it was pricey.

The price is excessive in my opinion...

Beds were very soft. Room needs some TLC. Bathroom was clean, floors were clean. But the night stand and dresser need cleaning. Looks like some spilled glue on night stand because it wouldn't wipe off.

I prefer a harder bed but that's a preference. Breakfast was a continental breakfast. No eggs, bacon or sausage. No pancakes. We went to Bob Evans.

It was a clean property and close to restaurants and bars.

I had forgotten how small a microtel was... as a bicycle rider on a tour I had to move the furniture around to make my bike fit in the room. Also, half the power and lights operating off the headboard weren't working. My room was the first off the lobby so it was a bit loud...Finally, the breakfast was a bit skimpy... but all in all a good stay for the value

Location and price

Breakfast is pretty mediocre and not really important to my satisfaction with hotels. Coffee in room usually suffices. A better quality coffee maker and a tastier coffee would be a big plus. I would like some boiled eggs.

The staff is good; very accommodating. The beds and bathrooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is located near the freeway and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

There are some things in need of improvement such as dirty walls and musty smell. The housekeeper wakes you by vacuuming between 8 and 9 a.m. which is not cool if you're trying to sleep in. Also I came in late one night and had no where to park because a big rig took 8 spaces 😥. The staff offered to drive our car off-site and to go and get it the next morning.

After reading the other reviews I was a little nervous. But I am glad we went through with our reservation. Our room had brand new carpet (new is my favorite scent). The bathroom was clean and we figured out the complaints of no hot water. The faucet is upside down so hot is cold and vice versa. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

The caulking was not professional. But it didn’t affect my good nights sleep at all. The breakfast was continental. But that is what they advertise. All in all it was a very good value especially when you compare rates to other hotels.

I was allowed to check in early, before 1:00 p.m. The man at the front desk was very gracious about that.

Breakfast on site was useless -- toast and muffins, that sort of thing. So I ate breakfast across the street at McDonald's.

It's centrally located to everything airport, air force museum and dining. I love when a place offers you breakfast in the morning and they have the awesome fluffy waffles you make yourself plus a lot more.

I didn't have a bad experience at all.
