Holiday Inn Express & Suites Purcell, an IHG Hotel0

Good breakfast. Clean room and overall everything was well maintained. No complaints there.

Lady at the reception desk couldn't find my reservation for over ten minutes. I told her I had one and had made it several days ahead. I had a reservation number etc. I asked if I could get a room anyway, she said they were booked, but offered a room at a much higher price than I had reserved. After I told her "no worries" I'll just drive home. She said wait a minute, and finally found my reservation. I don't think she was trying to cheat me, but it was awkward.... I did get my room at the reserved rate, it just took a long time and polite persistence on my part.

The staff was really friendly and helpful. I really liked the remote controlled window shades that actually worked. (We stayed at a HIE in Searcy, AR last weekend and the same type of window treatments were manually controlled with chains and one chain was missing completely and none of them worked at all and we had rented their best suite. When we brought it to their attention they said the maintenance guy was off for the weekend but that they could call him in if we really wanted them to... felt like a guilt trip....so we couldn't darken the suite for our entire stay.) Anyway, the Purcell, OK HIE was top notch and I felt like a queen and slept beautifully! The whole place was so clean and the staff was super hospitable. (The Searcy, AR elevators were dirty the whole time with mud that had been tracked in by someone. It was never cleaned the whole weekend.) In contrast, the Purcell, OK elevators were clean even though we could have potentially messed them up ourselves because we were there for a wilderness search and rescue, but the Purcell, OK HIE had really nice boot cleaners just outside the front doors. I SUPER appreciated this amenity so I didn't end up with mud/dirt on the floors in my room because I like to go barefoot in my room I really liked having in-room coffee, microwave and frig.

It was all really great, but I would have preferred bacon instead of sausage and plain gravy instead of sausage gravy at breakfast. I also would have liked it if they offered bananas. The pool water was nice and clear (unlike the Searcy, AR pool) but pool noodles (like they had in Searcy, AR) would have been a welcome addition.

I love the breakfast and it's workers are nice but the price for the room aas high and the lady that I called before booking says it's higher if you are booked full and lower if you are not I think it should have being a little cheaper because you were full....but over all we have stayed there twice and will stay there more because my daughter and new grandbaby lives about 2 miles from there...

The price.

First thing I loved was the staff at the front desk, Marilyn was so kind, and welcoming. My kids warmed up to her quickly, and she was quick to help answer a few questions. This new hotel is not too close to the highway, so in my room, there was no highway noise, comfy beds, no light from under the door, great towels, shampoo/conditioner/body wash all provided in the shower. absolutely wonderful pool with accessible ramp entry/exit. Breakfast was awesome with someone making your plate for you. We hope to stay here again!

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like

This HIE is located right off the highway, but has an address of 9th street. (So don't be confused.) I booked online and arrived to a very friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel is clean, as was our room. If we are in the area again, we will stop here. I highly recommend them!

If I had to pick something wrong with this Holiday Inn Express, it would be that they don't have a restaurant that cooks and serves meals as ordered. Breakfast was prepackaged yogurt, what I would guess were prepackaged and frozen omelets. But awe we didn't stay here for the food anyway.

We needed a place to stay, that would be able to keep the family close together. I needed 3 rooms on short notice, our father had passed away. I used your online app to book the rooms. It was so easy. I needed one of the rooms to be handicapped accessible, & they were able to meet all my needs and still keep us close. Thanks you for helping us through a very sad & emotional time. The rooms were so clean, it felt like no one had ever stayed there, like brand new. The staff took care of our every need. I will be staying there again this month, I’ve already made reservations. It will be my go to place anytime I need a place to stay.

I have to say, there was nothing that I didn’t like about your hotel. I will be recommended you to everyone I know. Keep up the good work.

very clean and convenient location just off interstate. Good continental breakfast and refrigerator in room. Restaurants close by. Most of all the staff was very friendly and accommodating!

Everything, this is the best place to stay... My go to place. Staffing is unbelievably nice, rooms are spotless, office use is easy ... probably the easiest to use. I've personally printed a couple of trees and not one ugly look for using too much paper. Ask for help and they beat you to the printer to fix it. Internet is fast and reliable. And the temperature control in the rooms works, easy to adjust. Breakfast top shelf, good.

This is my 4th stay in 3 months, honestly finding a negative is tough. The lighting in the bathroom is not bright enough. Not worth complaining about.

The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Everything functioned properly. The breakfast was one of the best.

It was difficult to keep doors open while moving the luggage carts. An automatic door opening and less little steps along the way would have helped, especially handicapped people.
