Ashland Motel - University

We checked in late and checked out late; the office manager was very accommodating. I loved the location as it is located right across from SOU and within walking distance to coffee shop, food and 7-11. Morning Glory restaurant is right next door. Lots of storage spaces available for your luggage, bags, etc. I loved the cleanliness and window shades. The outside looks deceiving.

I don't think our wall unit (AC/heater) was working correctly...it seemed as if the heating element was a bit off but it wasn't enough to complain about since the cool weather didn't kick in until we departed. I think bigger bath towels would be great and a few extra hooks in the bathroom to hang a robe/clothes. A small shelf above the mini fridge/microwave would be helpful as well.

The bedding was comfortable, the pool was clean, the location, and AC worked well.

No ice machine, the lighting in the room was inadequate (bring a flashlight), the one chair in the room was not comfortable, there was a refrigerator, microwave, and single cup coffee maker but not enough surface area to use as a workspace. The bathroom also lacked surface area to spread out your toiletries.

The room was nicely put together and the couple who run the place are very nice and accommodating. The mini fridge has a real freezer, and the pool was super clean. Nice little breakfast\lunch cafe next door, coffee shop and 7-Eleven in very close proximity as well. I will totally stay here again.

There didn't seem to be an ice machine, but it wasn't a big deal to me.

Affordable and very comfortable room. The bed, linens, and bathroom were recently updated and very comfortable.

While the outside is not as updated as the inside, the owners clearly invested in updates that are important for their guests comfort. The floor could have used a scrub or mopping.

The location was great for attending a play at the Oregon Shakespeare festival. The breakfast place next door was excellent. Our room had been newly remodeled and it was nice. The bed was comfortable. We loved having the fridge and microwave. The price was a great value!

Very friendly staff! Great bathroom and very clean room. Perfect for what we needed.

That we did not have time for the cute breakfast place next door. Next time.

Locaton was a twenty minute walk from city center. There is a bus stop right there and I like to walk, so it was all good. I wanted to be close to the university and this is right across from the main entrance to SOU

One of the rooms had a second door to the bedroom area, separating it out from the kitchen area and door to the restroom. The shower stalls are top notch. No drawers in the rooms, in favor of shelving, making it difficult to accidentally leave anything behind. Rooms were tidy, beds were comfy, pool was exellent!

The laundromat on site had a washing machine with an apparently broken spin cycle. Clothes were sopping, dripping wet upon removal. Having a sign up would have been nice!

Liked the swimming pool where I cooled off on each of the three days my wife and I were at the Ashland Motel. Also attended three outstanding performances at the Ashland Shakespeare Festival and enjoyed leisurely hikes through Lithia Park.

Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and both bathroom and sleeping rooms have been updated.

I felt it was a bit overpriced for a motel. I pay similar rates in large cities at name brand hotels (vs motels).
