DoubleTree by Hilton Bend

This Hotel is located in a quiet residential area on the edge of downtown Bend. It’s a perfect location for walking to restaurants and shops. It was relatively easy to find. The beds were very comfortable, plush duvets and pillows. The breakfast was sufficient. I would give this facility two stars for cleanliness. When we entered the elevator on the first day, the chrome surround around the door was very dirty with finger smudges, spilled drinks running down the wall, etc. We mentioned it to the cleaning staff and the next day the top half of the wall had been cleaned. By the third day the whole wall has been cleaned. The decor desperately needs to be updated. The rooms are unremarkable in shades of tan to brown. It would be depressing to spend very much time in the room. We paid $290 a night which was more than adequate for the quality of this room. Excess funds need to be used to update and model this facility. I expected more for the price.

The building is old and needs updating. The rooms are most unremarkable, decorated in shades of tan to brown. So boring, one would not want to spend much time there. Fortunately Bend has many fun things to do that keep you out of your room!

The location is superb. The hotel was clean and the staff pleasant.

The cost - at $400 a night - the price is too high. All the hotel rooms in Bend during the weekend we were there were very expensive as two lacrosse tournaments were taking place there. We felt taken advantage of. I also thought it was in poor taste to charge us $10 a night for parking given how much money we were already paying for the room.

The staff went above and beyond to get us checked in when we reserved at the last minute on a fully booked weekend. It looked like we were too late but Seth took great initiative communicating with other properties to find us a room. We ended up lucking out and able to fill our original reservation. Seth and Amanda are very polite, professional, and extended every hospitality beyond expectations. When we come back to Bend, we will stay here, no question!

Great location and rooms are exceptionally clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were even offered refreshments upon checkin.

Slight inconvenience with the elevator not operating, but otherwise everything was perfect.

Location is the Doubletree's principal virtue: within easy walking distance of downtown sites, restaurants.

Breakfast was mediocre: cold eggs, bacon, etc. and relatively expensive. $12/person. Service was curtailed because of COVID: no daily room clean up. Similarly, pool, spa, gym were all closed.

We loved that we could walk to all the great downtown restaurants and bars. We felt safe in the hotel and the downtown area. Definitely can't wait to visit again.

It overlooks the historic old town, and is steps away from great shops and restaurants. The staff is very welcoming. They are obviously trying very hard to show that they have extensively upped the cleaning in this Covid era. The bed was very comfortable.

Our room had a corner jacuzzi, which was very nice. The rest of the room was in a bit of a tired state. They are remodeling rooms on the floor and perhaps ours was not yet done.

The location was excellent! Just minutes away from downtown. We had a balcony and spent some time sitting in the sun. We plan on staying there again when visiting Bend.

The location was great! Right next to downtown, literally take some steps down by a man made waterfall and you are in a sweet spot with shopping, restaurants and parks. No need to drive, my wife and I took a morning walk to a fantastic restaurant and walked around the park and river with our coffee's, so phenomenal. The hotel itself is great, they have awesome COVID protocols in place. The rooms are huge, and bathrooms are very clean and modern. The staff was fantastic, all very nice, polite and good at simple conversation. We got those cookies at check in as well!

Honestly, everything was pretty great! The parking area seemed a bit sketchy, all though nothing happened. We showed up at night and it didn't seem the best area. Once we went out in the morning though, it was a great area.

The pool was closed to guests one day because it was rented out for a private party. That was disappointing because the pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel.
