Motel 6-Barkeyville, PA

We were buying a home here in Pa we were traveling from Florida. We have large dogs the last time we traveled we stayed at a different place. Not what we were looking for it was for a night. So this trip we needed more room because of a longer stay . Knowing that the rooms get cleaned on a daily I brought a duster with me and kept up the dog hair so it wasn't as bad for the house keeper. She did asked every day if there was anything we needed . Thank you for that ☺️ we were there from Saturday till today when we closed on our house. Thank you very much for allowing us to have our babies 🐕‍🦺 with us . The stay was a great stay no stress had enough on our plate you and your staff made it all the way around. ❤️

The back door my husband just said might what to check on it . Closes too fast.

For the price of the motel, it exceeded expectations. I am always worried that when the hotel price get that low, it could be a place that isn’t as clean or has bed bugs. The reviews were good so I gave it a chance. It was the cleanest motel I have ever been in. They allow pets, but there was no sign of a pet smell in the room. The rooms were not over the top fancy, but everything was up to date and what you would need for a night of passing through town. Staff was friendly. It was 100% worth the price.

The price. Rooms were large and spacious. Bathroom was clean with towels and other necessities. Air conditioner was not noisy and kept the room nice and comfortable. the gent at the reception was very helpful and even offered to fill our water bottles. There are a few restaurants nearby. The gas station close by has a variety of food and drink if you want a bite.

We had gone there thinking that the motel was close to the Grove City outlets. Alas! it turned out to be a 30 min drive. I also didn't like the fact that the motel advertises coffee available. Turns out that this coffee is only available in the morning for a few hours. We checked in in the evening and there was no coffee. Had to get coffee from the nearby gas station. Tried to find a place to buy a few beers after all that driving. Unfortunately was told there was no alcohol to be had within a 10 mile radius. What!!

Our room was clean and neat. The beds were comfortable. Great value for the night compared to all the hotels within 20 miles

It’s dated The landscaping at the back door needs to be trimmed back so the pathway and door are more visible and thus safer. Musty smell in hallways - I think more from dated carpets than anything else. No air in hallways, but room air was great. No hairdryer no shampoo/conditioner.

Very pleased with the property. Very friendly workers and the room was so clean. :) It is a no-frill stay (bring your own shampoo) but you do have everything that you need--microwave & fridge included in the room. It is right off Route 80 which is so convenient & safe & you just can't beat the price. So pleased with our stay. :):):)

Not very sound-proof...could hear others in the hall...leaving their rooms...but still not a deal-breaker--very nice place to stay for the price.

During this time when we are all concerned about cleanliness… And areas being sanitized… This hotel has gone to extraordinary measures to do so! From the counter dividers and sanitization stations being available to health and safety reminder signs for guests... Great attention to detail! The hospitality/complementary coffee corner in the main lobby was extraordinarily maintained and was most welcome!

We did notice a fair amount of cigarette butts on the ground in the parking area… That’s always hard to manage… But if there was an additional depository available that might encourage smokers to put their cigarette butts in rather than on the ground that would only add to the quality of this hotel!

Pleasant and helpful night staff. Two nice-looking ladies who very helpful. Second shift clerk got my TV working. Midnight shift lady helped me with directions to closest Wall Mart store. Thanks to both.

Shower was lukewarm. Hot would have been better. Heater worked but not too well. I slept in a sweat shirt. Neither problem major problem.

The evening manager was great. Effortless check-in. Friendly and efficient. Seemingly the best staffing and best staff training of any of the currently understaffed motels we’ve stayed in this trip. I booked late and Motel 6 was the only option. They’ve really upped their game since the last time I stayed with them 30 years ago! Clean. IKEA-style furnishings in the rooms. Wood-like linoleum floors which are so much easier to keep clean than elderly carpeting.

The doors aren’t very soundproofed, so you hear every conversation and movement from the hallway. But the room was clean, with a window, fridge, microwave and TV, and looks recently remodeled. Totally functional overnight stay one day’s drive from NYC. I did bring my own coffee, though they have coffee available in the lobby. No breakfast, but do we really need mediocre breakfasts in motels?

The room was recently remodeled! Absolutely love the laminate floors.. much better than carpet. The staff was very kind and engaging. The beds were comfortable and the price was exceptional! Much cheaper and nicer rooms to others I viewed on line. Very clean.. will definitely return when we are in the area again! Our Cavapoo loved it too! Pets are welcomed here as part of your family! No addition hidden pet fees as we found out at other hotels claiming to be pet friendly. Thank you staff! Fabulous!

Lack of restaurants near by:(

The room was exceptionally clean, the receptionist was nice, and the location was perfect. I would stay here again. Arby's and a gas station is directly next door, and the motel has a modest lobby where you can sit and relax. Other than the exceptionally clean room, this hotel wasn't anything other than what I'd expect at most hotels; however, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. A+

The hotel seemed to be undergoing some minor remodeling/construction, but it didn't detract away from my stay. Nothing major.
