Hilton Garden Inn State College

The staff was absolutely amazing. When I had to rearrange my schedule very last minute, Lucy at the front desk, was able to take care of my needs without moving me from my room. As my husband was undergoing a major medical procedure with some unexpected complications, not having to leave my room for another was extremely helpful. Housekeeping was wonderful taking care of my room and seeing I had the essentials without having to ask. The heated pool and hot tub was open till later. The gym was open 24 hours and by having these extended hours I was able to use all the facilities offered.

Wasn't crazy about the food. A bit pricy and not a lot of selection.

The breakfast was the best I have had in an American hotel. The staff was remarkably friendly and helpful. The only negative I can think of is that the location is a bit out of the way - two miles from the Penn State campus and the town.

Nothing comes to mind aside from the distance to the town.

The Garden Inn was an excellent choice! The staff was very friendly and professional. We felt welcomed right away. They learned our names and greeted us every morning. Restaurant staffers were always friendly, and the food was very good.

Breakfast was very good, but wish there were more options to choose from. price for sides like bacon was a bit over priced in my opinion. The service was very good and attentive.

The only thing that was disappointing was we were looking forward to enjoying the Jacuzzi / Hot tub and when we got to the pool it was not in operation. I guess because of Covid reasons the hot tub was not available. This info should be made available on there website. The pool water was comfortable once you were in it. but could have been a bit warmer for a heated pool. Truth be told in most hotels the pool water should be warmer in my opinion. Besides this I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel.

Location was very good 1 mile from E. College Ave. The room was fine, fitness center was not that spacious, no mats and was excessively warm.

Fitness center could use improvement. Found out Saturday evening that you have to request room service, this was never communicated to us at check in on Friday.

I spilled water on my bathroom floor and used a washcloth to wipe it up and the washcloth was dirty after. I didn't like that. wore flip flops the entire time.

We where there for a Basketball tournament it was snowing and ice on the road. I’m a Hilton rewards member and called the hotel to see if we could check in early. The manager Karen was awesome she said come on be safe and your room is ready with my extra pillows and extra towels already in the room. Very impressed with the level of customer service we received upon arrival and through out our stay. Thank you for a great weekend.

The pool was open-but no breakfast option- would suggest a grab and go breakfast for your guest. That would be great especially because everything is about 10-15 minutes away to get food. There is a restaurant in the hotel did not get a chance to try due to crazy Tournment schedule but if we come back I will definitely try.

Upon our arrival, the woman at the front desk was extremely welcoming. She asked about our trip and went on to give us great information about the university and the area. The room was very comfortable and clean, and our dinner was delicious.

The room was very clean and large. Having a microwave and fridge was nice. Faculties like the spaand pool were very clean.

The breakfast was ok but not complementary which I feel for the price of the stay should be included. There was alot of noise from the hallway until late in the evening from people hanging out.

Brice is always kind, friendly and welcoming. He is the reason I will pay a little more to stay at HGI instead of another local property. He greets me by first name and asks about my daughter’s every single visit. The rooms are always clean, the beds/pillows are always comfortable and the parking is usually easily accessible.
