Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott State College

The hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, location was good. The breakfast buffet contains many choices which was good because my husband is gluten-free, dairy-free, no red meat so he could eat the hard-boiled eggs, turkey sausage and cheerios (we brought our own milk).

In the description of this hotel, it said there was a hot tub; so we were disappointed when we arrived to find there was not one there.

Breakfast was fine but the only fruit were apples. The location was great.

We booked two nights. Room wasn't cleaned. No fresh towels. I called front desk. I didn't care about bed not being made but no fresh towels is unacceptable. A girl came with fresh towels but no washcloths. She told me there was no housekeeping for stays of two nights. Your prices didn't go down. Your customers are expected to make their own beds and use dirty towels. I am very disappointed with Marriott's attitude towards its clients.

We did not eat the breakfast, but it looked like it was adequate. The staff was very friendly and brought us the air mattress we requested quickly and helped us set it up. They also came right back with more towels which was very appreciated.

Every hotel in State College completely gauges customers on football weekends and this was no exception. The amount of money we paid was outrageous for any hotel, let alone one that is not even that close to campus.

The location is nice, close to restaurants, stores, and the highway!! Very nice restaurant right next door. Otto's brewery and restaurant amazing food and good drinks. There is also Barrel 21 right next door also. Breakfast was understandable because of the pandemic. The hot water for showers was nice. They supplied Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo and conditioner and lemon sage body wash in pump bottles in the shower very convenient. The room wasn't bothered by outside noise or noise in the hotel.

The beds are hard, no coffee maker or microwave in the room. Called before booking our room to ask about the availability of the swimming pool. Got told that we didn't need to schedule a time to go swimming. So I packed everyone's swimsuits and booked the room. Got there asked where the pool was located for us to take the kids swimming and was informed the pool isn't open. I informed the front desk I called earlier to inquire about it and was told it was open and there was no need to schedule a time to go swimming. Very disappointed about that.

Spotlessly clean rooms and a nice serviceable break fast included. Close proximity to Ottos is great for grabbing dinner after a long day. I stay here semi regularly for work trips.

The hotel was clean and in a nice location, close to restaurants. The beds were comfy and had plenty of pillows. All amenities in our room worked.

There needs to be more plugs in the rooms. We needed an adapter to plug our phones and laptop in. The lock on the bedroom door needs to be more child proof. Our toddler could reach it and easily open the door.

Check in was easy and the woman at the front desk was very pleasant. One of our keys didn't work initially but it got straightened out.

The only thing were the pillows, too soft, didn't sleep well at all.

we did not use any of the extra amenities as we were there for our sons graduation. the staff was very nice :-)

the property was a nice location and would use it again in the future . the only thing we ran into was that the body wash was completely empty. I brought some so that worked out.

The place is always very clean (this is my 4th booking over about 7 years). The breakfast is well prepared and set out on time.
