Super 8 by Wyndham State College

Ann the manager from state college pa was able to give us the room we needed for a recent surgery - room applicable to assist in comfort. Ann had taken the question and made sure she accommodated my concern.

During the middle of the night - I heard above my room huge bangs or something similar noises over 5 min long. Sounded like pipes bursting or shots fired. Completely scared me. I called my other family members in their rooms so I moved myself to their room for an hour. It sounds woke me up from sleep. Honestly sounded like gun shots above me , Scared the he’ll out of me. Sad I had to move to another room for a time during the night. Oh. I called the front desk - he said he would check it out. That was a positive and didn’t ignore my concern.

I would stay at this property many times whenever I needed a place to stay before accepting a new lease in town. It’s a perfect deal if you are looking for something either short or long term and affordable among other economy hotels around the area! All the staff from front desk to the housekeeping and maintenance is super nice, friendly and helpful. Despite it’s a budget type accommodation, rooms are clean and spacious! Last but not least, the location around the South Atherton street though not in the downtown is ideal given the proximity to the Giant right next door along with the Beer, Wine and Liquor stores, the CVS, bank and a few eateries.

I stayed here on two separate occasions (and will be staying more). Super 8’s are hit or miss. Some aren’t very nice, but this one is great. Clean and comfortable. I like the little night light action by the sink. Helps to see when you get up to pee in the night. Staff is friendly and it’s in a great location for my purposes.

The wi-fi was not good. I’m trying to watch a video, and it kept popping up saying I was offline. Then a few seconds later, it would say I was online again. The week before it was better, so who knows?

This is a no-frills property and yet has all that you need. The rooms were spacious and comfortable equipped with a fridge and microwave. Coffee is available round the clock. There are plenty of food options available nearby including a supermarket (Giant Foods). You can walk down-town in 30-40 mins or take an Uber for <$10. There is also a liquor shop located next to the property :-) The staff at the front desk is very friendly and so is the cleaning staff.

Firstly, internet service within the room is weak so if you need a better signal, you need to go down and work / call from the breakfast area which has good seating. Secondly, breakfast is a single item only (a muffin) which was a surprise as this is advertised as breakfast included. However, if you are Ok with managing breakfast on your own, it's fine. Thirdly, the health club is really small with no dumb-bells.

I thought the bed & pillows were very comfortable. I had a great night's sleep. The restaurant was very clean and well stocked. The staff that I spoke to were very friendly & helpful.

We arrived on Branch road heading westbound. I found the sign for the entrance hard to see and drive by the entrance not once but twice. Not sure if there is a bush hiding the sign or not, I meant to look before we left...but forgot.

This is the perfect hotel for our needs. Great proximity to downtown State College and free parking are wonderful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and they offer amenities including a microwave and fridge. Free coffee is much appreciated on cold days, and the free breakfast is as well.

The breakfast is free, which is great, but it does not offer any warm food. Not really a huge issue, however, as the hotel is otherwise wonderful!

The cost was so acceptable, room was super so good I like it I do recommend it to everyone

The break fast was very little, not acceptable, also the time for breakfast is very limited, the one work there is not helpful, he looks he want to leave early he doesn't care of us I really don't like his way of dealing with the gusts

Friendly staff. Night audit, janitorial, front desk, breakfast… everyone! Very comfortable rooms.

The smell from the barn across the street; the uneven/fake brick flooring in the lobby that made each bump of the luggage cart echo throughout the lobby and rooms surrounding it. Also not a huge fan of the window not having a screen.

Nice friendly staff. Very professional and helpful. Convenient location of the hotel. Clean and tidy. A large room for our family of 5 was provided. And even had the requested roll bed in the room when we arrived.

Beds need to be a bit more comfortable. Would like to see a choice of pillows to be firm and soft/fluffy. More choices to be provided for breakfast.

The rooms were modern and clean, the hallways smelled clean as well. The grounds were well maintained. My room key worked every time. They are pet friendly. Every thing in my room worked.

The comforter on the bed felt like it was coated with plastic and it made it hard to get comfortable. They are pet friendly, but charge $25 extra for a pet in the room. I've never paid a pet fee any where else. I didn't see a dog walking station with cleanup bags. I bring my own along, but apparently others don't ( or just choose not to use them). Lighting in the grassy areas was lacking
